決めました！
柑橘類の木は、すべてYuzuの木と呼びます！
Now, Sarah decided to call all citrus trees “Tree of YUZU”!
「無茶苦茶やん！」
“You crazy, Sarah?”
Yuzuの木の上で、文句言っているのは、モズ君。
だめよ！もう、決めたんだから！
「ま、いいかぁ、そのほうが、この木もうれしいかも・・」そうそう！
Well, you can’t stop Sarah, it’s a Yuzu tree, Bull-headed Shrike!
“Ok, as you like! Well, maybe this tree would be happy!”

ばあちゃんのお墓の前のお稲荷さん。

昨日もスイレンだったけど、こっちは、ばあちゃんのお墓のスイレン。
ばあちゃん、（あ、しい君のばあちゃんは、お花に全然興味ないけどね）
サラのばあちゃんは、赤いお花、大好きだったのよ。
うれしいだろうな。
And a water lily just in front of our family grave.
Sarah’s grandma loved red flowers so much
so, she must be very happy now!
バラ園への道、途中はのどかな田園風景も。
On the way to the rose garden,
the scenery looks so peaceful.
ヒガンバナって、毒があって、だから、ネズミやモグラ除けに
あぜ道に植えるようになったとか。
Spider Lilies are poisonous,
so, farmers grow Spider Lilies to keep pests and rats away.
以前、高知の牧野植物園に行ったことがあるけど、
たぶん、一生忘れないかも！（忘れんぼのサラでも）
大好きなの、牧野富太郎先生！
Many moons ago, Sarah visited Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden,
a memorial garden to learn about remarkable studies by
Dr. Tomitaro Makono (1862-1957)
ヒガンバナが、種から育たないことを見つけたのも
植物学の父！牧野先生。ふと、思い出したわ！
Dr. Makino has been called “Father of Botany”, and he also
found out that Spider Lilies, although they bear seed, but
they can’t grow from seed.
中国が原産らしいけど、中国には、
ちゃんと実を結ぶヒガンバナがあるとか。
Spider Lilies originally native to China, and
in China there are Spider Lilies which bear seeds.
ってかさ、種ができないのに・・・
虫さんたち、いらっしゃ～いって
派手にお誘いしているお花よね。
実際、アゲハさんたち、ヒガンバナ大好きだしね。
Although, they don’t have seed, but they look so gorgeous,
and often we see Swallowtails enjoying their honey.
