あのね、年賀状とかお店のチラシとか見ながら不思議に思っていることがあるのよ

「初春」とかさ「新春」「迎春」って、今の時期の言葉だよね
“Hatsuharu (beginning of Spring)” “Shin-shun (a new Spring)” or “Gei-shun (welcoming Spring)” such word is used during the new year holiday
旧暦ではグレゴリー歴より1か月ぐらい遅い新月がお正月だったんだろうけど
however, according to Japanese tradition, the beginning of Spring is early February, and it’s mid-Winter now
でも、2月、立春もあるけど、やっぱりまだ冬じゃん・・・
actually, here in Japan, a lunar calendar was used, so old days, people celebrated a new year day about a month latter
いろいろ考えるとさ、日本人って昔っからせっかちだったのかな？
but even though, still it’s in a Winter, it means that traditionally Japanese are impatient? or
それとも、やっぱり寒いから、とっとと春になってよって気持ち？
hate chilly winds and wishing to have a Spring as soon as possible?
かれこれ半月咲いているので、さすがにもう終わりの時期だけど、近所のヒマラヤザクラとせわしないメジロさんたち
Himalayan Cherry, we have been enjoying flowers of it for more than two weeks now, it’s ending now, but still White-eyes are enjoying there
ピンク色、やっぱり春の色だね～！
あ、ヒマラヤザクラの根元の沈丁花、つぼみがついていたっけ・・・
pink colour, yeah, sure it gives us image of a Spring!
Winter Daphne trees are now also ready to have flowers
春よ、来い！ already missing Spring to much!
