先月末に、温水地のヒドリガモさんのお写真入れたけど、2羽いたのよね
で、去年も2羽しか来てくれなくて、同じ夫婦かなって思っていたのね
in late October, Sarah posted photos of two Wigeons, came here, and last year too, a couple of them came, thought they are the same ones came here last year
まだ、繁殖期じゃなくからおつむのクリーム色の（モヒカン？？）柄が鮮やかじゃないけど、こっちが男子！
males got creamy crowns, but still he got eclipse plumage, so he got blur crown now
あらま！3羽いるじゃない！ oh, three?
奥の色黒さんがメス、で、真ん中と手前の子はオス オスが2羽なんだけど、
とっても平和・・あ！ひょっとして坊や？
the darker coloured one is a female, and two in the centre and front are males, they are swimming so peacefully! maybe a couple with their young boy?
ヒドリガモさんってイクメンだから、オスも子供かわいがるしね
（カルガモさんのオスはよく子供いじめてるのよ！ぷんぷん！）
male Wigeons also raise their babies (male Spot-billed Ducks don’t so often they bully young ducks seriously)
手前の子はまだ若鳥だよね
なんかパパ、ママが優しく見守っているようでかわいいでしょ？
the centre one look so young, and they look lovely, don’t they? a couple is carefully looking at the young boy!
でもさぁ、カモさんって一度に10個ぐらいの卵を産むんだよね
う～ん、なんか生存競争厳しいね・・・
well, but they have about 10 eggs at once, well, well, life is very relentless
ここの定住者、カルガモ君・・おお、後にいるのはコガモさん！
a Spot-billed Duck, and behind him, a female Teal
こっちは、両方ともオス 左の子はまだ若いんだろうな・・・これから成鳥の羽に変わって右の子のようになるのよね
and here both are males, the left one must be a young boy, he may have adult plumage soon
「こら！ここは、オレの縄張りだぜ！出ていけ～！」
コガモさん、子育てしないから若鳥にも容赦ない？？
“hey, this is my territory, go away!” male Teals too they don’t care chicks at all so mean!!
