まだ、午前中だけど・・・夜の景色
up dating the blog in the morning
with photos of a night
三島って月末がお盆なんだけどね
最近は7月にお盆、で、夕べは精霊流し
last night, people here held a Buddhist event
to welcome their ancestors and lost family member(s)
people believe they come back to home for a couple of days
then when spirits go back to their place (heaven)
people float paper lantern in a river
it’s called Shoro Nagashi
三島駅の近くの白滝公園の横の湧き水の川
the river’s headwater is in a park near to Mishima Station
なんかさぁ、不思議だった・・
a bit mysterious, last night
昨日は雨が降ったりやんだり
で、夕方になったらかなり雨脚強くなって
精霊流しどうするの？って思っていたけど
it was raining sometimes yesterday, and became
harder in the late afternoon, we wondered
whether they could have the event or not
なんと！精霊流しの間だけ、雨やんだのよ
それも、雲もあちこち切れて、お空が見えるほど
my Gawd! can you believe the rain stopped when the event started
and even some parts of the sky were clear
で、精霊流しがおわったら、間もなく、また雨
そして雨は今日になってもまだ止まないし！
then when the event ended, again the rain started
till today, it’s been rainy
公園の前に、三島浅間神社があって
小さな神社だけど、富士登山の前にお参りに行く神社
（サラは、富士山、5合目までしか行ったことないけどね）
in front of the park, there’s a Shinto Shrine
enshrining the goddess of Mr. Fuji
厳かな精霊流しの向いでは
にぎやかなシャギリ（お囃子）
one par, they were holding the Buddhist event, and
in front of it, Shinto festival with the local music
屋台も出ていて・・お祭り気分？？
festival stalls were busy
