夏》Morning is Coming 和訳【4】Sting & Shaggy

毎日暑い日が続きますね。

今年は梅雨入りも早く、平年より暑さが厳しくなるとか… こまめな水分補給と、疲れたと感じなくても適度に休憩を入れて、そしてストレス発散しつつ、お互い夏を乗り切りましょうね。

さてさて、そんな暑い中考えていたのですが、夏の日の一日に聴きたい曲を時系列でリストにしてみました。

今まで和訳していない曲の中から、早朝から夜中まで。

もちろん私の独断なので、皆さまのイメージとは違うかもなのですが。

題して、というかそのまんま。

「夏の一日ソング🌺 a day in summer」

今のところ9曲考えております。

皆さまだったらこの時間はこの曲かな〜なんて想像して頂けたら嬉しいです。

記事のタイトルには「夏》」と付けていこうかな？と思います。

1回目の時間は「早朝」

スティングとシャギーの『Morning is Coming』です。

何度か記事にしておりますスティング＆シャギーの曲。車でよくアルバムを聴いているのですが、どの曲もやっぱり味わい深い良い曲なんですよねぇ… しみじみ。

スティングの解説によると、何百年も前のものだと思われるイギリスの古い民謡があり、その民謡で「Sweet nightingale」と歌われているとのこと。

ナイチンゲールが鳴くのは夜明けを待ってから。朝が来ることを告げる鳥。太陽が昇り、物事は良くなる。楽観主義と新しいスタートを意味しているとのこと。

そしてこうも話しています。

「環境、戦争、テロなど絶え間ないニュースで『人生は生きる価値があるのか​​』と落ち込むこともあると思う。」

「私達が私達を続けていくのに必要なのは、笑顔であり楽観主義で、音楽はそのような時に非常に重要な機能を果たす。人々の顔に笑顔を置き、自分達は変わることができるという感覚を私達に与えてくれる。」

タイトル通り「朝がやってくる」との曲であることと、レゲエサウンドに乗せて朝の始まりを歌っていることが、一曲目にぴったりだなぁと思い選曲。　

シャギーが「Wake up」と呼びかけている歌詞もあるので、目覚ましに使っても良いかもしれません😅

最初に「Good Morning America」という朝のテレビ番組でのライブを。最後には、音源のみの動画を載せますね。

追記：歌詞の中の「バブル」「ワイン」共にレゲエダンスの種類で、主に女性が踊るダンスとのこと。
