ホリデイシーズン到来～。
…というか、もう既にそのシーズン真っ只中かと思うのですが、うちでは今年から前夜隠密業が廃業となりまして💦
上の子は勿論ですが、下の子も性格的にドライな事とネット普及済みの現代っ子という事もあり、ホリデイシーズンぶち壊しでゲーム発売日に渡す羽目となりました。

この時期とても聴きたくなるのがストレイト・ノー・チェイサーのハーモニー！

Straight No Chaser（以下SNC）は、インディアナ大学のSNCというアマチュアアカペラグループの卒業生達が再結成した、プロフェッショナル・アカペラ・グループ。
1998年の『The 12 Days of Christmas』のビデオが、2007年には視聴回数800万回を超え、そこからアトランティックレコードと翌年5枚のレコード契約を結ぶに至った。
デビューアルバムはBillboardのトップ・ホリデー・アルバム部門で4位、Amazonでは2週間連続でトップセールスを誇り、続いて発売されたアルバムは同部門で6位を獲得。
2009年には米国大手のネットワークテレビ局にてSNCのショー「Live in New York」が放映となり、2008年に出演したショーでは、ホワイトハウスでブッシュ大統領一家等の前でライブを行った。
音楽業界ではあまり人気のないアカペラ・ミュージックの中、異例のヒットを続けている。

大学のこういったアカペラなどのグループというと、映画「ピッチ・パーフェクト」を彷彿とします。
サークル活動から人気が全国へ、そして世界中に拡がったというのはかなりの実力なんだろうなと思います。
この原曲は、ご存知ポール・マッカートニー。
SNCのこの曲は、コラボという形になっているようです。
