2023年 数日前、トルコとシリアで壊滅的な大地震が発生し数千の家屋が倒壊しました。
何万人もの人々や女性、子供、ペットなど何万人もの人々が廃墟の下敷きになっています。
これまでに1万2千人以上の死亡が確認されています。今度は何千人ものうち12人が閉じ込められたという。
鳥を飼っている人たちは脱出する時間はほとんどなかった。それでも一番大切なものを手に入れることができた。
この13歳の少年はトルコの瓦礫の中から救出されたのです。
その際、飼われていたセキセイインコを手に55時間ぶっ続けで下敷きになりました。55時間も前から瓦礫の下にいたのに3時間後には瓦礫の下から叫び声が聞こえたそうです。
アパートの瓦礫の中から救急車へ向かう途中に13歳の少年は保護したインコを叔母に渡ました。そして叔母はインコにペットボトルのキャップで水を飲ませました。
他にもたくさんの幸運な鳥や猫や犬が発見され救助されました。
