In South East Asia one can see tiny house temple everywhere. This is a kind of private temple, one pray in any occasion between real temple visits. Sure is sure. Here in this photo you see a procession march of Hindu rituals in Island of Bali. Indonesia was firstly Buddhists land, then Hindus came and then Muslim spread entire country except in Bali. That is why Muslim extremist terrorists bombed (In Indonesian Bom) in Bali twice. Such a tiny house alter we got also in Japan. We call it "Kamidana" (God's Shelf), an untreated wood house inside a piece of paper with name of Amaterasu (The goddess of sun and light), entire Kamidana system one can buy in any Shinto shrines for around 5000 to 10000 yen. See, our god is quite pricy. Japanese mythology says; Once Amaterasu hid behind the cave and closed entrance with huge stone (Sun encrypts I think). People had to do something to get the light back on earth. They made a big orgy in front of the cave entrance. Big mass sex party with music, dance and karaoke. Then Goddess Amaterasu wanted have a peek and opened the entrance stone a little. Two strong men opened the huge stone and Amaterasu was out again. This Goddess Amaterasu is the main god in Shinto shrine and Emperor of Japan close himself into Ise Shrine main house over night. It means the emperor mate with Goddess Amaterasu in symbolic way (I hope) to crown himself as an Emperor of Japan. This shows Japanese people against Nintendo Wiis and NEC Laptops, are still in archaic agriculture based society structures. Yes, Shinto is quite hardcore religion.
There are 3 kind of Shinkansen trains between Tokyo and Hakata. Hikari(Light), Kodama(Echo) and Nozomi(Hope). This one on the photo is Kodama for example. not the fastest train with her 270 km/h crusing speed. These Line between Tokyo and Osaka is called Tokaido Shinkansen, between Osaka to Hakata is Sanyo Shinkansen, from Hakata to Kagoshima Central Station connects Tsubame(Swallow) on Kyusyu Shinkansen and at last from Tokyo to Hachinohe (and soon to Aomori) is Tohoku shinkansen and use the same train system as photo but in another colours. Oh I forgot some Tohoku shinkansen goes also to Akita and Jyoetsu shinkansen to Niigata and Nagano shinkansen to Emperor's summer residence I forgot. Soon (I mean in 12 years) new Shinkansen Line to Sapporo my hometown will open. Then crusing speed will be 370-390 km/h connects Sapporo to Tokyo in 3 hours 50 minutes. The train prototype is already in testing, one with Cat ears like objects pops out from the top when the train comes to curbs to press train to the ground. We gave this train system a nickname "Halokite = Hello Kitty". Hope the train is also painted in pink. Hahaha. PS: The cheapest way for tourists to enjoy Shinkansen is to purchase Japan Rail Pass. Every Shinkansen surcharges are included, even reservation for the seats costs nothing. Purchase at any travel office before you arrive in Japan.
Great long wall near Beijing. This man built phenomena said to be the only building one can recognize from the spaceship. Nowadays many tourists walking around and surely an impressive building indeed. Why the Chinese Emperor let build this insane project we know. Just to protect China from Mongols. Later anyway Chinese throne is taken over by Mongolian Khans, but not many people know how they built it. It was like that. Somewhere from Northern China a civil servants came to villages and told them to pack their daily belongings and forced to come with. Like this, hundred of thousands of slave workers inclusive his wife and children are forced to build this wall. When one part is finished entire caravans moved to next building sight for generation to generation. No escape, no hope, no pardon. Nowadays the insane Emperor who was scared of Mongol is Chinese communists Politburo, that is why I call them as "The Red Emperor". The Mongols? Their Mongols are "Democracy", "Civil Society" and "Law Reigned Nation". Many westerners are afraid of China, but no worry at all as long as they are totalitarian society with corrupted Party bosses with 300 mistresses on top, but once China is in democracy I am afraid of. They have potential to become a great nation once they are free. So at this moment no worry at all. Red China will collapsed sooner or later I believe, but I hope it rather later than sooner.
These girls are not Geisya san. They are Maiko han (Kyoto dialect), apprentice of Geisya san. In the western world there is one big untruth circulating that Geisya san are prostitutes. They have never taken and will never ever take customers for money for sexual services, they are traditional Japanese artists for witty conversations, singing, music, dances. A kind of superwoman in Kimonos you should imagine. These girls are next generation Geisya san, still learning how to entertain guests in traditional Japanese ways. They usually are sponsored by Danna san - a gentleman, he will take care her both financially and her life after. Geisya san is against common westerner belief no way only young ladies, but the most famous Geisya san in Tokyo area is well over 70 years old. Japanese people enjoy her entertainment skill just like one enjoy well stored wines. Both gets into perfection with ages. Spirit of Sabi.
