さて、本日は、ヒップホップMC/ラッパー、エミネム（Eminem）の大ヒット曲“Lose Yourself”（2002）の拙訳（英語の全訳、永久保存版）を訪問頂き、有難うございます。
今回は特別長いので、”なにくそっ”、”今に見てなさいよ”、”もう一花咲かせてやるぜ”、そんな気分になった時にでも、ちょっぴり思い出し、読んでいただければ、嬉しいです。
エミネム（Eminem）。本名マーシャル・ブルース・マザーズ3世（Marshall Bruce Mathers III）。
“Lose Yourself”は、2002年公開米映画” ８Mile（エイトマイル）“のMCバトルシーンでエミネム演じる主人公ラビットが挑んだラップ曲。
自分はこの曲の「展開」に惹かれました。
1番では、MCバトルの舞台に立ったものの、弱気で、ビビりな態度。しかし徐々に腹をくくり出します。
2番では、心身に、もういっぱしのラッパーとしての自分が明確にイメージされ、ついに勝負に出ます。
そして最後、3番では場を完全に自らの手中へ掌握、ごみ箱のどん底みたいな日常との決別を宣言。クール過ぎる決め台詞でフィニッシュです。
自分は、少しめげていた時、これを聴いて俄然、気分が向上しました。

ラップはライム（rhyme、韻、例えばfartherとfatherなど）を多用しますね。宝探しならぬ、韻探し、是非、試してみてくださいね。感性豊かな、貴男、貴女なら、きっと曲中にたくさんライムを発見できるはず。
