First, I would like to congratulate all the OUST members that participated on the Osaka Prefectural Official Record Meeting held at Takatsuki City Swimming Pool. I was so surprised to see so many amazing times for different categories on the competition. It motivates me to do my best and continue improving every time.
Last week was the first week after a long time that I manage to train every day, retaking both swimming and biking. And gym at night! Everything hurts!!, jeje, but I am very happy to start seeing the results.

Today’s menu was:
Unfortunately, is the first time that I find such a heavy rain when going out, and I was not prepared for that. Since I didn’t notice it was raining, when I went out of my house, I had to enter again and put my coat and different shoes. Not even 1 km after I left, I was soaking wet, and I decided to swim another day and not risk getting sick. So, I came back to my home.
Nonetheless, I really like swimming on Mondays! and I really missed today’s training. Lately we have been swimming a lot of “all out” sets and even after finishing completely exhausted I am always happy to see that we are getting our times a little faster every time.
I notice that we barely have kick sets and I feel that that’s were I strive the most, so I wish to train more my legs to gain more speed and stamina.
今日の練習についてはここまで。
Yesterday I tried to go to Kyoto by bike, but the tiredness of my body quickly showed, and I had to cut my ride short. So, I only did 50 km = (. But is ok, it is also important to know our limits and rest to avoid injuries.
Instead, on my way back, I went to Akutagawa Sakurazutsumi Park and Imashirozuka Kofun which were extremely interesting.
I have a lovely breakfast in Akutagawa Sakurazutsumi Park, admiring this painting of a Sakura tree in bloom under Sakura trees in fall. It was quite the contrast!
Then I stopped in Imashirozuka Kofun because I was intrigued to see the terracotta figures located in this megalithic tomb.
I wish I could read more Japanese so I could understand more about the explanations on the sites. So I will keep studying to improve my Japanese!!
In short, I had a lovely but chilly ride!! It was fun!!
I hope I can keep improving in both swimming and pedaling. And if possible, soon, make another IRONMAN 140.6, but I hope to keep it under 12 h this time, jeje (last time it took me almost 14 h ). Though the running is my Achilles heel.
Let’s keep the good work and keep improving little by little!!
Even when the road is though the goals are worth it!!
