This trip is for those H.I.O.C members who are not into skiing or snowboarding and those members who are not ready to hit the ski fields yet.
このイベントはスキーやスノーボードをしない、又はスキー場に行く準備の出来ていないHIOCメンバー向けです。

Level: Easy to Moderate
Height: 827 meters
Hiking time up : 2 hours and a half ( approximately )
Hiking time down : 1 hour and a half ( approximately )
Total time : 5 hours including one hour lunch break

Mt Toshi-yama is great day hike in the Sapporo area with a slow climb to the peak which has a nice view of the city.
In mid November the autumn colors are finish but we usually get the first snows that make this hike interesting and fun.
Usually the snow isn’t that deep and not difficult to walk through .
The trail can be slippery at times so having good footwear with good grip is a must plus the right clothes for hiking in cool or cold temperatures.
砥石山はゆるい登りと、市街のいい景色が楽しめる札幌地区のいい日帰り登山コースです。
１１月中旬には紅葉は終わっていますが、通常このコースがもっとお面白くなる初雪がある頃です。
コースは滑りやすくなっていると思われますので、いいグリップのいい靴を履いていくことと、気温も低いと思われますので、低い気温での登山に適した服装が必要です。

Meeting Place and time:
Bus:
Meet at Makomanai Subway station near the main entrance at 8.30 am
From Makomanai subway station we will catch a bus to the start point of the hike.
To come back we will take the same bus back to Makomanai station
Car:
People wanting to go there by their own car will meet at the car park at the entrance of the Nakanosawa hiking route at 9 am.

地下鉄真駒内駅改札口近くに8：30に待ち合わせ
真駒内駅からバスに乗ってスタート地点まで行きます。
帰りも同じバスに乗って、真駒内駅に戻ります。
車：
ご自分の車で参加ご希望の方は、砥石山中ノ沢登山ルート入口に午前９時集合。

２次会：
ハイキングの後は、希望者がいれば、札幌駅の居酒屋で２次会も行けます。

Come and have fun and enjoy koraoke and party while riding on the Susukino streetcar (tram) through the down town area of Sapporo.

This is a great and unique way to have a party and a good time.

札幌の街中を市電で走りながらカラオケパーティーを楽しみましょう。

楽しいユニークなパーティーです。

The Streetcar ( Tram ):

Sapporo city has a streetcar set up to do parties that you can hire for one or two hours.

The streetcar is set up with a koraoke machine, tables and lighting so you can enjoy a great time.

The streetcar follows the same route as normal through down town Sapporo . For the 2 hour trip we make our way from one end of the route to the other end and back again with a toilet stop at the streetcar yard. People hiring the streetcar must take their own food and drink.

札幌市では市電を貸しきって1時間か2時間パーティーすることができます。

カラオケ、テーブル、ライト、等が用意されており楽しい時間を過ごすことができます。

市電は札幌の街中を走る通常のルートを通ります。

2時間のコースは、車庫でのトイレ休憩を含む往復のルートです。

食べ物飲み物は各自で用意しなければいけません。

Meeting Place: In front of the Susukino McDonalds on the corner near the Susukino streetcar ( tram ) station.

This year we will be having the H.I.O.C Halloween party at the Teine Hutte ( hut ) on Mt Teine.
The lodge is about a 300 meters walk from the Mt Teine Ski Field car park. So if you do not want to do the hike you can just drive there or Leon car pick you up from Tenie JR Station.
今年はHIOCハロウィーンパーティーを手稲山のパラダイスヒュッテでします。
そのロッジは手稲山スキー場駐車場から300メートルくらい歩いたところにあります。
ですから、もし登山をしたくない場合は、そこへ車で来るか、又はリオンが手稲駅まで迎えに行きます。



The Hike:
We will be hiking up using the Kita-on-e route .
If we are lucky we might get to see some beautiful autumn colours
Level: easy to medium ( depending on your fitness and hiking skill )
Note: people who do a lot of hiking will find this hike easy.
People who do not do a lot of hiking or haven’t done in a long time may find this hike a bit hard .
Hiking time up: Under 3 hours
Hiking distance: About 3.5 km
登山について
北尾根ルートを登ります。
ラッキーなら、紅葉が見られるかも。
レベル：易しい～中くらい(体力と登山スキルによります)
注意：たくさん山登りをする人には簡単、しない人、久しぶりにする人には少し難しいかもしれません。
登山時間：3時間以内
登山距離：約3..5キロメートルくらい



Meeting Place for hikers:
Teine JR station. You will be met by Leon Roode and Rob Thomson.
Leon will collect everyone bags and gear that you want to take to hut and drive everything to the hut in his car so you only need to carry a small day pack with water and your lunch and a jacket....etc
From the station Rob will lead you to the Teine homachi iriguchi hiking start point. From there you will do a slow climb up the Kita-on-e route trail thought the trees and hopefully thought beautiful red and gold autumn colours.
The next day people can hike out and down by the Takino-sawa route.
Meeting place: at Tenie JR station is infront of the ‘Mr DoNuts Shop’ on the south side of the station.
Meeting Times:
l Teine JR Station: 10am
l Car pick up at Teine JR station for people not hiking and do not have a car: 3pm: in front of the ‘Mr DoNuts Shop’ on the south side of the station.
l Teine Ski Jo car park ( for people taking their own car ):4pm
登山をする方の待ち合わせ場所等について
リオンとロブに手稲駅で会います。
リオンが皆さんの山小屋で必要なかばんや道具を集め車で山小屋へ運びます。
皆さんは水やランチやジャケットなど登山に必要なものだけを小さなリュックに入れて登山できます。
手稲駅からはロブが皆さんを手稲本町の登山口までお連れします。そこから、木々の間をとおり北尾根ルートをゆっくり登ります。紅葉が見れればいいなと思います。
山小屋に宿泊した後、次の日には、滝ノ沢ルートを通って下山します。
待ち合わせ場所と時間：
登山をする方・・・手稲駅南口ミスタードーナツの前10時
　　登山をせず車のない方・・・手稲駅南口ミスタードーナツの前15時
　　登山をせず車で来る方・・・手稲スキー場駐車場　16時



Halloween Party:
A Halloween party wouldn’t be a Halloween party without everyone dressing up and wearing a fancy dress costume. You can go all out and do something amazing all you can just do something simple. It is up to you but we hope you get into the feel and spirit of Halloween and make this a great party. We will try to have some Halloween games and actives and Bingo !

ハロウィーンパーティーのドレスアップなくしてはハロウィーンパーティーにはなりません。すごい格好でもいいし、何かシンプルなものでも構いません、みなさんハロウィーンの格好をしてハロウィーンパーティーを楽しみましょう。ハロウィーンゲームやビンゴもする予定です。



Mt Teine Hutte ( hut )
This is a very nice mountain hut . It is very clean in side and big
and very comfortable. The hut is simple but has a lots of things there that we can use and it also has power and lights but it is like a mountain hut so we still need to take sleeping gear .
手稲山パラダイスヒュッテ(山小屋)
清潔で大きな快適でいい山小屋です。
シンプルですが、いろいろなものもあり、照明等もありますが、山小屋ですので、寝袋等は必要です。
