The way to Cuzco.
It was tough trip to come to Cuzco...
22hours on a bus.
Actually the bus was amazing. Seat is pretty large, reclining about 100°, meals, drinks, movie, and wifi...
But, the road to here was horrible.
1000km rough, bumpy, and winding road.
I got carsickness, and also I suffered from altitude sickness because Cuzco is located at 3400m altitude.
I couldn't do anything until this noon.
So, now I changed my plan little bit, and I'm going to join a tour of Sacred Valley and then heading to Machu Picchu tomorrow.
By the way, I met great people in the hostel before I left Lima. They joined my project voluntarily, and we soon opened up to each other, and they asked me to go picnic together. It was great time even short time.
I like traveling because I can meet people like that.

Cuzcoという町に来ましたが、想像絶する道のりでした。
22時間バス乗りっぱなし。
人生初の体験です。
乗る前は、1日近くもバスに乗って旅なんておもしろそうと思ってましたが、イヤイヤ・・・
実際バスはすごいんです。
座席は広いし、180°近くリクライニングできるし、食事も、ドリンクも、映画も、wifiも付いてるんですよ。
でも、道路が悲惨。。。
1000kmほどデコボコの曲がりくねった道のり。
途中、土砂崩れで1時間近く立ち往生。
噂には聞いてたものの、こんな道走る？！って感じ。
で、着いた頃には車酔いと高山病でノックダウンでした。
もう2度とバスのらねぇ。。。
ってことで、丸1日寝込んで潰してしまったので、少し予定変更。
明日、聖なる谷のツアーに参加して、その後マチュピチュに向かいます。
それにしても、Cuzcoはいい町です。
まだ全然観光できてないので、マチュピチュから帰ったらじっくり観光します。その頃には高度3400mにも慣れてるだろうし。
そういえば、Limaを出る朝にドミトリーのルームメイトと仲良くなったんですが、こいつらがいいヤツで、僕の例のボードを見て、「これ書かせてくれ」って。真剣に考えてくれてた。
すぐに打ち解けて、会って間もない僕をピクニックに誘ってくれた。
出発までの短い時間やったけど、めっちゃ充実した時間。
こんな奴らに会えるから僕は旅が好き。
Lima-day 2-
My iPod was fucked up this morning, and it didn't show
time correctly...
3hours ahead.
I fell asleep around midnight last night, and it was already
11:30am when I woke up. I was so shocked about it,
but I got quick ready to go. Then I realized that it was still 9:00am...
phew!
I walked around the city a lot today. I haven't seen any Japanese
even Asian. And I realized that I needed to speak Spanish...
I can't even order food.
I went to a restaurant for the first time in Peru. Look at this!
Only one word that I said was "pollo" means "chicken."
I was so hungry, but this is the picture after I finished eating.

Too much and too cheap.
Peruvians are so nice and friendly.
There is no trains in the city, so most transportations are taxis
or buses. Those cars beep too much though.
I went to Barranco area which is famous for the one of the cool
areas in Lima. It was beautiful especially by the ocean.
I went through the place that many artist gather to sell their hand-made
accessories. They showed me a lot of works kindly, then they
undertook my work willingly. Most of them can not speak English
very much, but they tried to tell me their think about the disaster in Japan,
and I got them.
It was very nice moment.
Then I went to a bus company to get a ticket for the travel to
Cuzco tomorrow. The terminal was huge and clean. I'm looking
forward to taking the bus even though it takes me to get to
Cuzco for 22 hours...
今朝iPodおかしくなっちゃって、時間が正しく表示されないんです。
自動で現地の時間になるはずやのに、NYの時間にすらなってない。
3時間早いんです。。。
で、昨日12時くらいに寝てしまって、起きたら11:30やったから
慌てて出る準備したんですけど、腕時計見たらまだ9時。
まぁ逆によかったですけど。。。
今日はめっちゃ歩きました。
日本人どころか、アジア人全く見てません。
スペイン語必要です。
食べ物すらオーダーできません。
ランチにペルーで初めてレストランに入ったんですけど、見てください、
上の写真。
僕はたった一言"pollo"っていうチキンを意味する言葉を発しただけ。
めっちゃお腹減ってたけど、食べ終わった時の写真はコレ。
これで$5くらいて、多すぎ、安すぎ。
ペルー人はナイスでフレンドリー。
交通手段がタクシーとバスしか無くて、クラクションがうるさいけど。。。
タクシーでリマの中でもアーティストの集まるクールなエリアとして
有名なBarrancoっていうエリアに行って、アハンドメイドのアクセサリー
を売るアーティストが集まる場所を通ったんですが、彼らは丁寧に
自分たちの作品を見せてくれた後、僕の日本へのプロジェクトに
快く参加してくれた。
彼らのほとんどは、英語はほぼ喋れないのに、自分たちの思いを伝えよう
としてくれて、それが僕にも伝わった。
すごく良いひとときだったと思う。
その後、明日のCuzco行きのバスチケットを買いにバスターミナルに行ったけど、それがめっちゃでかくて綺麗。
Cuzcoまで22時間もかかるけど、なんか楽しみ！
