I was walking down the street near my house around 11pm.
A car went by me, and someone stopped me.
The man was saying,
I'm so sorry to stop you. I know it will look strange, but I'm really need
some help. I moved here from West Virginia just a few weeks ago.
My wife is pregnant, and she was sent to the hospital in New Jersey
with labor.So, I have to go to the hospital, but I don't have enough cash
to cross a bridge. I tried to take some money from ATM, but my bank
is virginia bank and unfortunatelly the ATM system was broken...
So, I'm really in an emergency. No matter how small you can aford, please
borrow some money. I'll give you back later. I know it's difficult to trust me,
but please help me. This is my first child... please...
He showed me his driver's lisence in West Virginia, and I knew that it's allowed
only cash to cross the Washington bridge. I didn't think he was lying about that.
My naborhood is really quiet especially at night. Nobody commits froud in this
location at this time...
At the end, I lent 20 bucks to him and gave him my e-mail address.
He said, "I'm deeply appreciate your help. I must give you back this money.
I can e-mail you on Wednesday, so please meet up somewhere.Thank you so much."
I know I'm silly, but I couldn't have refused it. And I'm trusting him.

ついさっきの話なんですが、１１時頃近所の道を歩いてたら１台の車とすれ違って
おじさんに車から声を掛けられました。
最初は警戒してたんですが、おじさんは慌て気味で、こう言ってました。
「足を止めてごめんなさい。怪しいのは分かった上なんですが、どうしても助けが
必要なんです。２～３週間前にWest Virginiaから引っ越してきたばかりなんですが、
嫁が妊婦なんです。彼女が陣痛でNew Jerseyの病院に運ばれたという連絡を聞いて
急いで病院に向かってる所なんですが、橋を渡るCashを持ち合わせてなくて、ATMに
行ったんですが、私の銀行はVirginia銀行で、運悪くATM systemが故障していて
お金を引き出せないんです。本当に緊急事態なので、あなたが許せる範囲で結構ですので
少しお金を貸してもらえないでしょうか？必ず後日お返ししますので。
私を信じろというのは難しいのは承知の上ですが、お願いだから助けて下さい。
私の一人目の子供なんです。お願いします。」
彼はWest Virginiaの運転免許証を見せてきましたし、Washington Bridgeを渡るのに
Cashしか使えないのを僕は知っています。
僕は彼が嘘をついているとは思えないし、僕の家の近所は閑静な住宅街で、特に夜は
静かで人通りも少ないのに、誰もこんなところで詐欺を働こうとは思わないハズ…
ということで、２０ドル貸してあげて、僕のE-mailアドレスを渡しました。
彼は、「本当にありがとうございます。このお金は絶対に返しますので。
今週の水曜日にはメールできると思いますので、どこかで会って下さい。」と。
そんな話信じるなんて馬鹿なのは分かっていますが、どうしても断れませんでした。
そして、僕は彼がお金を返すと信じています。

Today was Independence Day. America's 234th birthday!

Fireworks were held on the Hudoson river this year.
It was amazing though, I knew that Japanese fireworks is the best.
I looked back on it with nostalgia...
World Cup 2010.
It might be too late, but I want to write it down now "Good job Japan"
I didn't expect that Japan played such nice games.
As you know, NY is one of the most international countries in the world.
So, each national bars shows its own game and people from the countries gather
in the bars. I went to a Japanese bar to watch the game of Japan vs Denmark.
There were so many Japanese that I felt like I was totally in Japan... and they were
so exciting! Anyway, "Otsukare" thanks a lot Japan national team!
え～、今さらですがWorld Cupネタです。
帰国会見も終わって、少し遅いですが、書きたかったので。
僕は正直、今回のWorld Cup全然期待してませんでした。 なので、１戦目のカメルーン
の試合は家のTVで観戦、２戦目のオランダもTVで観戦。
で、３戦目のデンマーク。 おもしろくなりそうだったので、Japanese barへ…
店内は完全に日本でした。こんなにもNYに日本人がいたのかと思うくらい日本人
だらけ。そして日本代表がんばりましたね！Good Job!!
決勝トーナメントは残念ながら家のTVで観戦しましたが、最後までいい試合でした。
今回のWorld Cupは日本時間では、夜の遅い時間だったと思うんですが、
みんなお祭り騒ぎだったんじゃないでしょうか？
NYはいろんな国籍の人々が集まっているので、それぞれの国のBarで自国の試合を
放送して、すごい熱気です。
あと残り２試合、どっかに騒ぎに行こうかな♪
なにはともあれ、日本代表おつかれさま。
