Summer semester.
I finished all classes of summer semester in Parsons this Monday.
Basically summer semester is on a tight schedule because term is
really short. I had 4 classes in a week, and almost everyday I had some
homework. I spent pretty much time to do it, and did good.
We had final presentations of our projects we had been working through
this semester last Thursday. My works were highly regarded.
I'm so glad to take these classes and have to keep this work.
今週の月曜日にParsonsのSummer semesterの全ての授業が終わりました。
基本的に、このSummer semesterは期間が短いので、スケジュールがすごく
タイトなんですが、週に4回の授業でほとんど毎日課題がでます。
僕は丁度、語学学校もバケーションを取れたので、この課題に専念できて、かなりの
時間をこの課題に費やしたと思います。
そして、自分なりに作品もなかなか良く出来たと思います。
そして、先週の木曜日に、このsemesterを通してやってきたプロジェクトの最終プレゼン
がありました。
ワインとチーズなどのおつまみをつまみながらという、洒落たプレゼンでしたが、英語で
プレゼンできるほどの英語力が無い僕は、お酒の力を借りつつ、なんとか納得のいく
プレゼンが出来ました。
終了後、クラスメイトと先生を含め、みんなでＢａｒに飲みに行き、そのとき先生に
「プラン自体もすごくよかったし、Ｄｒａｗｉｎｇもすばらしかった」 と言ってもらい、
このParsonsのcertificate programのイメージ写真に使いたいから、データをメールで
送ってくれと。。。
まぁ、どこまでホンマか分かりませんが、とにかく「これからも君の活動をちょくちょく
メールで報告してくれ」と言っていただき、頑張って良かったと思いました。
次のsemesterは9月から。
また大変になるやろうけど、今は少しＲｅｆｒｅｓｈして、作品のまとめ頑張ります！
A year.
Couple days ago, friend of mine gave me a message on mixi. He said
"Time flies. A year has passed since u left Japan." ...A YEAR?!
I couldn't realize that. Yeah, I first came to NY on July 14th 2009.
I was absorbed in my work of Parsons this week because I had to
present my plan which was a final presentation in the class this Thursday,
so I didn't care about the date these days. Again and again, TIME FLIES!
I have had a lot of good experiences this year, and those are unforgettable
in my life. Then I deeply have to appreciate those around me that I could have
been here. By the way, how's it going everybody? I just want to know your recent.

数日前、友達からmixiにこんなメッセージが届きました。
「ふーちゃんがＮＹに渡って早1年か、早いもんです。」って…
1年？！
全然気付きませんでした。そう、僕が初めてＮＹに来たのは去年の7/14。
今週ずーっとＰａｒｓｏｎｓの最終プレゼンに没頭してたので、日にちなんて気にして
なかったというか、気にする余裕もなかったのですが、知らん間に1年記念日は
過ぎてました。
何度も言いますが、時が経つのは早い！
でも、この1年色んな事が経験できたし、それらは日本ではできなかったこと
ばかり。そして、一生忘れることができない事ばかりでした。
それもこれも、家族をはじめ、色んな人の支えがあったから僕が好きな事を
出来てる訳で、そういう周りの人たちに感謝しないといけないなと思います。
そして、これからまだ残りのＮＹ生活、感謝の気持ちを忘れず過ごそうと。

Late star festival.
There are some bamboos in a back at the place I work.
As all Japanese knows, July 7th is the star festival "Tanabata"
We give some "Tanzaku"to customers and they wrote down
their wishes in the future.
So, I also wrote it down and hung it on a bamboo.
The wish is ...
*I'll become BIG*
We hold a BBQ party by the bamboos yesterday.

うちのバイト先に立派な笹が何本かあるんです。
なので、遅いですが、七夕の短冊をお客さんに書いてもらって吊るしてます。
てことで、僕も書きました…
「ＢＩＧになる」
昨日はその笹の横でＢＢＱパーティー。
お客さんのＥＶＥＮＴやったんですが、おいしいＢＢＱをいただきました！
