アストンマーチン V12ザガート、生産台数は101台へ縮小

V12ザガートは、アストンマーチンとザガートとの50年に渡る協力関係を記念して開発。フロントに搭載されるのは、『V12ヴァンテージ』譲りの6.0リットルV型12気筒ガソリンエンジンで、最大出力517ps、最大トルク58.1kgmを引き出す。
軽量化も追求されており、ダブルバブルと呼ばれるルーフやボンネット、ドアはハンドメイドのアルミ製。前後フェンダーやドアシル、トランクリッドには、軽量なカーボンファイバー素材が使われた。
V12ザガートは当初、2012年後半から、限定150台を生産する計画だった。しかし、今回の声明では、これを49台も下回る限定101台に絞り込まれた形。アストンマーチンは、その理由を公表していない。
ちなみに、英国でのベース価格は、33万ポンド（約4020万円）。限定生産台数が絞り込まれたことで、V12ザガートの希少性が高まるのは間違いないところだ。

The 2011 unveiling of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato at the Villa d'Este Concours d'Elegance saw another chapter written in the historic partnership between Aston Martin and the Italian coachbuilder. Just a fortnight later two examples of the V12 Zagato took to the track to compete in the Nürburgring 24hr race, both finishing the endurance epic to continue Aston Martin's 100% record in the gruelling event. August 2011 then saw the announcement that the V12 Zagato would enter a strictly limited production run - with customer deliveries taking place later this year the V12 Zagato is destined to become one of the most exclusive and desirable Aston Martins ever produced.
