タイトルにある「3 Car Garage（車3台分のガレージ）」とは、彼らがデビュー前に自分たちの家のガレージで実際に機材を並べてレコーディングしていた場所のことです。まさに原点にして、彼らのルーツそのものが詰まった作品である。
※1）大ブレイク後、所属していたメジャーレーベルが合併などの大人の事情で変わり、彼らが「本当に作りたい音楽」と、レーベル側が求める「売れそうなポップ路線」との間で激しい衝突が起こるようになりました。
そして絶頂期にメジャーとの契約を解消。完全独立して立ち上げたのが「3CG Records（3 Car Garage Records）」です。
原点を忘れない強い意志から命名したそうな…

■ この曲どんな曲？
長男のIsaacが作詞・作曲し、リードボーカルを務めています。 アンデルセン童話『スズの兵隊』をモチーフに、切ないメロディをアコースティックベースのサウンドでじっくり歌い上げる名曲で、アルバムの中でも特にドラマチックで人気の高い楽曲である。
冒頭の赤ちゃん声はHANSON3兄弟の弟の声だそう。
