このアルバムは、彼らが2006年にアフリカ（モザンビークと南アフリカ）へ行った慈善活動の旅に強くインスパイアされている。

アルバムのオープニングを飾るイントロ『Ngi Ne Themba』はズールー語で「I Have Hope（希望がある）」という意味。そして先行シングルでもある『Great Divide』には、モザンビークのジンペト・センターという孤児院の子供たちのクワイア（聖歌隊）の歌声がサンプリングではなく、現地でレコーディングされ、そのまま収録されています。 『Great Divide』は、南アフリカの病院のHIV/AIDS病棟への寄付を目的としたチャリティ・シングルとしてリリースされた。

タイトルの「Georgia」は人名なのか？州なのか？
実はこれ、長年ファンの間で語られてきたポイント。
歌詞だけを読むと、 “ Georgia ”という女性に語りかけているようにも聞こえる。
一方で、アメリカ南部の州である “ Georgia ”を象徴的に使っているようにも解釈できる。
ただ一般的には、「Georgiaという女性を主人公にした物語」として受け取られることが多い。
Hansonはこの曲について細かい説明をほとんどしていないため、あえて曖昧さを残している可能性が高い。
