小室哲哉さんとHANSONの3兄弟はめちゃくちゃ意気投合し、なんと「小室哲哉プロデュースによるHANSONのニューシングル」の企画が立ち上り、楽曲の制作が行われ、レコーディングまで完了していたのですが、大人の事情（レーベル間の契約など）で残念ながら発売は見送られてたとのこと。

邦楽ミリオンセラー全盛期だった1997年の日本で、10代の洋楽新人がオリコン総合トップ10に食い込むという大快挙。 本国アメリカではシングル『MMMBop』が3週連続1位を記録し、当時11歳の三男Zac（ザック）が『史上最年少の1位獲得ソングライター』として歴史を塗り替えた！
■ この曲どんな曲？
HANSONといえば次男Taylor（テイラー）がメインボーカルを務める曲が多いですが、この『A Minute Without You』は長男Isaac（アイザック）がメインのリードボーカルを担当しています。
サビの最後に、Isaacが「There's one-thousand-four-hundred-forty hours in my day!（僕の1日は1440時間もあるんだ！）」と叫ぶ最高にキャッチーなパートがあります。
数学的に考えると「1日＝24時間＝1440分」なので、本当は「1440ミニッツ（分）」と言うべきところを、彼は「1440アワーズ（時間）」と歌っています。 これは間違いではなく、「君が恋しすぎて、僕の1日は（1440分どころか）1440時間くらい長く感じちゃうんだ！」という、恋に狂いそうな男の子の最大の誇張表現（ハイパーボリ）。この若さゆえの必死さとパッションが、曲の疾走感と完璧にマッチしている。

彼らのデビューアルバム。
HANSONと言えば同アルバムの「MMMBop（キラメキ☆MMMBop）」が超有名だが、Isaacの早口言葉並みに早い音調と声変わり前のTaylorのコーラスが最高である！
