I came to Japan at the end of April, and expected long rainy season in June... 
However, it was only for a week and a couple of day were really heavy continuous rain...
And also, I expected more typhoons to arrive in the autumn... 
However, it has not come yet, not even one in this area. There have been a couple of it arrived in Japan, though...
Most of them had gone to up north, through Korea, then gone to China...

In the UK, there have been many water shortage years recently and it has got worsened... 
However, there have been many big flooding happened in the UK in recent years as well. The rain falls "all in one go" kind... 
There have not been just the heavy rain, but also heavy snow in the winter... 
The climate has been changing world wide, and Japan is not an exception, I reckon... 
If the rainy season is shortened and the typhoon does not come so often than used to be, the next must be the water shortage...
Japanese people think that Japan has plenty of water... 
Such thought could be dangerous...
We’d better start saving the water now..., before too late...
