クリスマスイルミネーション / Chiristmas illumination

I've gone to see the Christmas illumination of Mid Town at Roppongi.

There is a carpet with many lights on the lawn of the park.

It was like a "shooting star" that the LED lights were moving with the music.

The LED lights moving with the music looked like shooting stars.

I took these movies by I've filmed this with my mobile phone, sorry I think it is bad to see them the video quality is bad.

I hope these movies makes will make you enjoy the Christmas illumination in Tokyo.

六本木にあるミッドタウンのクリスマスのイルミネーションを見に行ってきました。

公園の芝生の上にライトの絨毯が敷かれていました。

音楽に合わせてLEDライトが動き、まるで"流れ星"のようでした。

ごめんなさい。携帯で撮った動画なので、見づらいと思います。

紅葉(Kouyou) / autumn foliage

It is getting cold. This is the best season to see autumn foliage in Japan. Most of Japanese people like to see it. It is impressed impressive to see that leaves are shown beautiful autumnal leaves in a few days before scattered.

At this time in Tokyo, my favorite spot is the ginko trees street at Jinguu Gaien.

There are planted their tall order by146 ginko trees to look like a painting in three dimensions.

It seems like the tallest trees are about 28m, the shortest trees are 17m.

I wonder if I've looked still a little early. I think maybe next week is the best.

東京でこの時期、私が一番好きなスポットは、神宮外苑の銀杏並木です。

絵画のように立体的に見えるように、高さ順に銀杏の木が146本植わっています。

一番高い木で約28m、低い木で約17mなんですって。

まだちょっと早かったかな。たぶんあと一週間後が見ごろと思います。

不思議(fushigi) / It's a wonder !

There are a totally different meanings in of the words of in English and Japanese.

Recently I've known learned the phrase of "cross my fingers".

It seems like to cross one's fingers is a hand gesture, by curling the middle finger over the index finger, is thought to bring "good luck" in English.

In Japan, this gesture is chirdren's play that is used by children to protect themselves from something dirty, isn't it?

Children say "Giccho" or "EnGacho"and do this gesture when they are chased from by other child who are was previously touching dirty things. When I was a child, I believed to can be inbincible I could be invincible that I only had to do if only I did this gesture and say said "Giccho" or "EnGacho" .

It's a wonder that there are such a quite different meaning. I've corrected some phrases include of including "cross my fingers below "Today's Prases".

英語と日本語で全く違う意味の言葉がありますね。

最近"cross my fingers"って言葉を知りました。

英語では、手の中指を人差しゆびに交差するジェスチャーで"Good Luck"という意味のようです。

日本語だと汚いものから身を守る子供の遊びのジェスチャーですよね。

汚い物を触った子に追いかけられた時に、子供たちは「ぎっちょ」や「えんがちょ」と言ってこのジェスチャーをします。

私が子供の頃は、このジェスチャーをして「ぎっちょ」や「えんがちょ」って言いさえすれば、無敵になれると信じていました。

こんなに意味が違うだなんて、不思議ですねー。 "cross my fingers" の使い方を"Today's Prases"に集めてみました。
