Welcome To New York.アメリカ

I'm kidding. I took these photos in Odaiba, Tokyo, haha. I had "Lea Lea Pancakes ~Spring Flower~" at Eggs 'n Things there. But I've always wanted to go to New York. I wanna someday, and I'll definitely come by Laughing Man Coffee.コーヒー It's a cafe owned by Hugh Jackman. I'm a big fan.!!

"The Greatest Showman" is now playing in Japan. It was released on February 16 this year. This video announces that the special version of "The Greatest Showman" started being played on March 23 at some movie theaters. How should I put it in English? Japanese people call this "応援上映(Ouen Jyoei)." It seems  the 応援上映 of "グレイテスト・ショーマン," or "The Greatest Showman" in Japanese, allows film audiences to sing along to the songs while seeing the film in theaters and English lyrics appear instead of Japanese translations while the songs are playing.

"Lea Lea Pancakes ~Spring Flower~" are only available at Eggs 'n Things Odaiba & Jazz Dream Nagashima for a limited time. Odaiba offers them from March 16 till April 8 while Jazz Dream does from March 10 till April 8.

ブーケ2 いちご "Lea Lea Pancakes "~Spring Flower~" tasted great. They are perfect for the spring as the name suggests. They are decorated with petals of flowers called edible flowers. They look so beautiful especially on strawberry sauce and served with strawberry pink whipped cream. Don't you think so?

The sign is called "Shaka sign." It means; "Hang Loose."

Welcome To Tokyo.

Welcome To Japan. 日本

To be honest, sometimes I feel like listening to "Welcome To New York" by Taylor Swift. I think I like this song. I don't sympathize with the lyrics, though. It doesn't mean I don't sympathize just because I've never been to or I'm not living in New York. I just don't agree with some parts of the lyrics of the song. I think I'll write about it in Japanese frist. I'll update my Japanese blog this month again. This month will end soon, so I guess I can't make it. I'll update next month, maybe.

CD From this album, I like "Welcome To New York" as I've just mentioned, and "Shake It Off," too. Though I don't have her other albums including her new album, I like "Everything Has Changed" and would listen to it a few years ago. I came to know the song while watching some pair's figure skating exhibition on TV. I downloaded on my smartphone as soon as the pair finished the performance.

It's a song sung by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. I didn't know that at the time, actually. It seems they and another aritist collaborated togther again and the official music video was uploaded on You-tube in January this year. Tokyo is appearing in the video. I like "Everything Has Changed" much better, though.

I don't like her country music, but if I name one, "Mean" is my recommendation, I think. I know how she feels, and I'm sure some of you do. Well, I was bullied when I was a student. I read somewhere before Taylor was bullied by her classmates because she likes country music and that she thinks this experience made her stronger and she thanked them. One of the Grammy albums I still have includes this song, so I used to listen to the song when I played the CD, though I didn't know at the time it's her song.

Well, the frist time I listened to "Shake It Off" on a Grammy album, I was really surprised to find it's Taylor Swift's song. Ths song is included as the first song on the Grammy album, and I thought her voice was like Fergie's, a female R & B or Hip Hop singer. I didn't like Taylor Swift, actually, but I came to like her after checking the music video of "Shake It Off." It's so funny. She does everything.

This is not an official music video, just in case. Hikaru Utada, 宇多田光, or 宇多田ヒカル, is a popular Japanese artist, but it's said she speaks English fluently. She's released two English albums so far. Though they don't include, she's covered a famous English song, "Fly Me To The Moon." Also, some of her popular Japanese songs have their English versions as well, such as "Sanctuary" for "Passion," "Simple & Clean" as "光." In this case, we read this Hika"ri," not like her name, Hika"ru." The kanji character "光" can be read "Hikaru" and "Hikari."

"Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence - FYI" comes from her 2nd English album "This Is The One."CD If you don't know her or her songs at all, I'm sure you've listened to the melody of the song or its title is familiar. It's very famous, though the original one doesn't have words. I don't think this is the perfect season for listening to the song, you know, but the song is cool. Well, some Japanese people call her "Hikki," and fans know she loves bears. She even wrote a song named "I'm a Bear." I hope she's already known Bearful Sleeves released by Tully's Coffee. コーヒー

Go back to Eggs 'n Things ...

桜I had "Cherry Blossom & Fresh Fruits Pancakes" at Eggs 'n Things Harajuku, too. They are also decorated with edible flowers like Odaiba & Jazz Dream's "Lea Lea Pancakes ~Spring Flowers~." Well, they were also great. Their cherry blossom whipped cream was just awesome. This whipped cream has ice cream inside, too..

I had them on my birthday this year. My birthday is March 10th, and it's the birthday of Eggs 'n Things, too. I'm so happy about that.

I made friends with girls from America there.

"Cherry Blossom & Fresh Fruits Pancakes" are Harajuku-limited pancakes to celebrate their 8th Anniversary. Eggs 'n Things was born in Hawaii, the U.S., アメリカ and opened its first Japanese location in Harajuku, Tokyo, so that's why Harajuku is offering the 8th anniversary pancakes.

Last year, not only Harajuku but all locations in Japan were serving 7th Anniversary pancakes because Eggs 'n Things marked 7th anniversary in Japan then.

There were two kinds; "Strawberry Cheese Pancakes" and "Kona Tiramisu Pancakes". I added photos sometimes here ... Wow, I added them to the very first blog post when I started this English blog post; YOLO= You Only Live Once.

This year, all the locations are doing "Double Berry Pancakes" instead to celebrate the 8th Anniversary of Eggs 'n Things in Japan until May 6, while Harajuku itself is offering "Cherry Blosssom & Fresh Fruits Pancakes" as their 8th anniversary pancakes. You know what? EGGS 'N NEWS is not released anymore ... I'm so sad. I was looking forward to getting a new edition. Eggs 'n Things changed their Grand and Dinner Menus and they started on March 1st this year.

This photo is from another blog post "Lovin' You."

You should try their new Starwberry & Blueberry Whipped Cream and Macadamia Nuts Pancakes. They are really good. I hear they've changed some of their ingredients. They started to use better ones so that's why the prices of several pancake items became higher as well.

The official website says Harajuku's "Cherry Blossom & Fresh Fruits Pancakes" are offered from March 1 until March 31. I'm not sure though. Well, I went there yesterday to try "Happy Easter Campaign," which is available till April 1 (this year's Easter Day), and one of the female OHANA, the staff members of Eggs 'n Things, said "Cherry Blossom & Fresh Fruits Pancakes ended today and Kyoto's Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes start tomorrow." If it's true, I'd say Eggs 'n Things should have announced this kind of thing in advance, I mean, some item lasts shorter or longer. Some might be thinking of having them this coming Saturday before store-limited pancakes end. I was one of them, actually. I thought I'd have them again if possible because their cherry blossom whipped cream was great and I don't think I can enjoy cherry blossom item again till next spring.桜

"Happy Easter Campaign" enables us to add 1 more egg for free if we order 1 item off "Meats & Eggs" on their grand menu and choose "Sunny Side Up" for eggs. I tried it for "Surf & Turf,"with which we can taste both beef steak and garlic shrimp at a time.

NEW

Eggs 'n Things served Carrot Pancakes for Easter last year.にんじん I really like them. I thought they would offer pancakes for Easter again, but they don't this year.

I remember OHANA told me "I hid a rabbit somewhere near here. Just find the rabbit. It's not far from your seat," or something like that when I ordered Easter Pancakes last year. You know, it's like Easter Bunny Hunt.うさぎネザーランド・ドワーフ I finally found that small white rabbit near the bill, and brought the rabbit to the cash register. You know what? I could get the rabbit for free. I still have it. Thanks to their Easter Pancakes, I became interested in what Easter is, and googled it many times last year.

Tully's Coffee is selling Easter Rabbit teddies this year, too (the left photo). I prefer last year's, though (the right). Their Easter Ice Cream this year, T's Pop'n Marble Soda, is good. In addition, it's so colorful and beautiful.

Anyway, Kyoto's exclusive "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes" just started today at all locations of Eggs 'n Things in Japan.ホットケーキ

I took these photos at Eggs 'n Things Kyoto last month. I showed other photos of "Kaoru, Uji Mathca Pancakes" in "Happy Valentine's Day 2018"本命チョコ and "No Rain, No Rainbow." 雨 虹
