It's taken a bit longer than I expected but episode 7 of our YouTube series has just been uploaded.

The latest video introduces some phrases that are sometimes used when talking about how to solve general problems.

The format of the video series is still a WIP (which means 'work in progress') so I'm still aiming to change and improve many things. If you have any feedback then please share your thoughts via this blog, the YouTube comments, or by direct email from our homepage.

Also if you have any ideas about future topics the please let us know!

Most of us have our favorite fictional heroes and heroines whom we love for their looks and for what we believe they are like. However, there have been at least a few versions of familiar tales and hero transformations, each painting a slightly or even entirely different picture. Then we had to decide which impression was more convincing, right or wrong.

Can you tell which Disney characters hide behind this Halloween makeover? Check out the link to see the full video (Not for the faint-hearted!).

I wonder how often you were filled with doubt when a horrific image of someone was stood before your eyes. Just like in real life, with the right tools the one who holds the brush can turn anyone into a hideous monster or an angel of light.

I was recently introduced to this book called, ‘My Bucket List’.

If you’re not familiar with the concept of a bucket list, then it is simply a list of experiences or achievements you hope to have before you die.

Typical ideas for a bucket list are ‘to go bungee jumping’ or ‘to ride in a hot air balloon’ for example.

This book, however, goes beyond simply making a list and asks you to think more deeply about not only what you want to do in future but also how you felt after doing it. It even encourages you to evaluate your experiences and think about how you would do it differently.

Another nice idea the book has is to provide different categories for your ideas. For example, there are the usual travel and adventure categories, but also categories for friends and family, creativity, and love.

I’ve never made a bucket list before but some of those categories intrigued me, so I may give it a go. (Although I can’t promise that I’ll actually do any of the items on my list.)

We have entered the time this winter when cold feels more real than in the previous months. During days like these I often opt to cut down on outdoor exercise because of how much longer it takes to warm up and for fear of catching a cold. Instead I pull on a snug sweater, slip on a light down jacket and, camera in hand, take long walks exploring neighborhoods. Walking helps to take your mind off things, keep the blood flowing and, last but not least, reflect on and even appreciate characteristics of the world built of steel, concrete and asphalt .

Usually, I like to read books on my Kindle but the Discworld series of novels has such cool artwork on the covers that I just have to collect the paperback versions.

The author, Sir Terry Pratchett, sadly passed away in 2015 but remains a much-loved British writer, and until 2005 was the best-selling author in the UK (until a certain JK Rowling came along). He is most famous for his witty fantasy series Discworld which consists of 41 novels.

I’ve got a long way before I finish collecting them all!
