Also known as butterfly pea tea, is a caffiene-free herbal tea.
This was my first time drinking it. Although I was recommended to try it with some marmalade (just visible in my photo), I actually quite liked the natural taste too. Very mild but pleasant.
Apparently it can have some side effects with some people, but it's generally considered safe to drink(!). I certainly hope so.
Blue tea will also turn purple when it's pH level is changed. Adding lemon or lime, for example, will turn it purple!
This interesting characteristic means that a popular use of the tea is in cocktails. Adding some lime or hibiscus leaves to change the colour of the cocktail in front of the customer will surely leave an impression.
Maybe one to try in summer!
