Christmas came and went leaving us with bitter cold nights and a few days of this old year to tie some loose ends.
This time our Christmas get-together turned out to be a fried chicken fest featuring KFC’s, karaage and restaurant class chicken steaks which occupied most of the table! Luckily, the chicken army didn’t take over completely, as we also nibbled at some beef stew, potato pancakes and, of course, strawberry vanilla cake, while washing it all down with sparkling Cava Brute, Guiness and mulled wine. In an experience so far removed from Christmas traditions I know, it was nice to still
have a good time, just being surrounded by familiar faces and sharing good things we have together. To be sure, the proof of the (Christmas) pudding is in the eating ;)
