ホセア書７章
１）わたしがイスラエルをいやすとき、エフライムの不義と、サマリヤの悪とは、あらわにされる。彼らは偽りを行ない、盗人が押し入り、外では略奪隊が襲うからだ。
２）しかし、彼らは心に言い聞かせない、わたしが彼らのすべての悪を覚えていることを。今、彼らのわざは彼らを取り巻いて、私の前にある。
３）彼らは悪を行なって王を喜ばせ、偽りごとを言って首長たちを喜ばせる。※1
４）彼らはみな姦通する者だ。彼らは燃えるかまどのようだ。彼らはパン焼きであって、練り粉をこねてから、それがふくれるまで、火をおこすのをやめている。
５）われわれの王の日に、首長たちは酒の熱に病み、王はあざける者たちと手を握る。
６）彼らは陰謀をもって近づく。彼らの心はかまどのようで、その怒りは夜通しくすぶり、朝になると、燃える火のように燃える。
７）彼らはみな、かまどのように熱くなって、自分たちのさばきつかさを焼き尽くす。その王たちもみな倒れる。彼らのうちだれひとり、わたしを呼び求める者はいない。
８）エフライムは国々の中に入り混じり、※2エフライムは生焼けのパン菓子となる。
９）他国人が彼の力を食い尽くすが、彼はそれに気づかない。しらががはえても、彼はそれに気づかない。
10）イスラエルの高慢はその顔に現われ、彼らは彼らの神、主に立ち返らず、こうなっても、主を尋ねもとめない。
11）エフライムは、愚かで思慮のない鳩のようになった。彼らはエジプトを呼び立て、アッシリヤへ行く。
12）彼らが行くとき、わたしは彼らの上に網を張り、空の鳥のように彼らを引き落とし、その群れが騒々しくなるとき、わたしはこれを懲らす。
13）ああ、彼らは。彼らはわたしから逃げ去ったからだ。わたしは彼らを贖おうとするが、彼らはわたしにまやかしを言う。
14）彼らはわたしに向かって心から叫ばず、ただ、床の上で泣きわめく。彼らは、穀物と新しいぶどう酒(聖餐）のためには集まってくるが、わたしからは離れる。
15）わたしが訓戒し、わたしが彼らの腕を強くしたのに、彼らはわたしに対して悪事をたくらむ。
16）彼らはむなしいものに立ち返る。彼らはたるんだ弓のようだ。彼らの首長たちは、神をののしったために、剣に倒れる。これはエジプトの国であざけりとなる。

１）ああ、悲しいことだ。私は夏のくだものを集める者のよう、ぶどうの取り残しの実を取り入れる者のようになった。もう食べられるふさは一つもなく、私の好きな初なりのいちじくの実もない。
２）敬虔な者はこの地から消えうせ（詩12：１）、人の間に網を掛け合って捕らえようとする。
３）彼らの手は悪事を働くのに巧みで、役人は物を求め、さばきつかさは報酬に応じてさばき、有力者は自分の欲するままを語り、こうして事を曲げている。

35）かえって、異邦の民と交わり、そのならわしにならい、

Hosea 7 (HNV)
1)When I would heal Yisra'el, Then the iniquity of Efrayim is uncovered, Also the wickedness of Shomron; For they commit falsehood, And the thief enters in, And the gang of robbers ravages outside.
2)They don't consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.
3)They make the king glad with their wickedness, And the princes with their lies.※1
4)They are all adulterers. They are burning like an oven that the baker stops strring, From the kneading of the dough, until it is leavened.
5)On the day of our king, the princes made themselves sick with the heat of wine. He joined his hand with mockers.
6)For they have made ready their heart like an oven, While they lie in wait. Their beker sleeps all the night. In the morning it burns as a flaming fire.
７）They are all hot as an oven, And devour their judges. All their kings have fallen. There is no one among them who calls to me.
8)Efrayim, he mixes himself among the nations.※2 Efrayim is a pancake not turned over.
9)Strangers have devoured his strength, And he doesn't realize it. Indeed, gray hairs are here and there on him, And he doesn't realize it.
10)The pride of Yisra'el testifies to his face, Yet they haven't returned to the LORD their God, Not sought him, for all this.
11)"Efrayim is like an easily deceived dove, without understanding. They call to Mitzrayim. They go to Ashshur.
12)When they go, I will spread my net on them. I will bring them down like the birds of the sky. I will chastise them, as their congregation has heard.
13)Woe to them! For they have wandered from me. Destruction to them! For they have trespassed against me. Though I would redeem them, Yet they have spoken lies against me.
14)They haven't cried to me with their heart, But they howl on their beds. They assemble themselves for grain and new wine (Holy Communion).
15)Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, Yet they plot evil against me.
16)They return, but not to Ha'Elyon. They are like a faulty bow. Their princes will fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue. This will be their derision in the land of Mitzrayim.

1)Misery is mine! Indeed, I am like one who gathers the summer fruits, as gleanings of the vinyard: There is no cluster of grapes to eat. My soul desires to eat the early fig.
2)The godly man has perished out of the eretz (Psalm 12:1), And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.
