1John 2
1)My dear children, I wright this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defence―Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
2)He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
3)We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.
4)The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5)But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him.
6)Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
第一ヨハネ二章
１）私の子どもたち。私がこれらのことを書き送るのは、あなたがたが罪を犯さないようになるためです。もし誰かが罪を犯したなら、私たちには、御父の御前で弁護してくださる方があります。それは、義なるイエス・キリストです。
２）この方こそ、私たちの罪のための、―私たちの罪だけでなく全世界のための、― なだめのための供え物なのです。
３）もし、私たちが神の命令を守るなら、それによって、私たちは神を知っていることがわかります。
４）神を知っていると言いながら、その命令を守らない者は、偽り者であり、真理はその人のうちにありません。
５）しかし、みことばを守っている者なら、その人のうちには、確かに神の愛が全うされるのです。
６）神のうちにとどまっていると言う者は、自分でもキリストが歩まれたように歩まなければなりません。
