last night, i went to lounge roots tokyo to celebrate its 2nd anniversary. the party was collabrated with seven sounds by cigarette brand seven star, featuring junji ishiwatari (ex-supercar) as a headliner and spakle. i got there little before midnight and there was already a long line of people at the entrance waiting to get in, so i was kinda worried about how long it would take to get in but i was lucky that yamakawa-san and okuma-san saw me and takeshi-san, the owner, was just behind me, so i could get in there smoothly. thank you very much.
there, second and first floor were pretty much packed but takeshi-san was kind enough that he reserved a seat for me. the laser lighting and vj was pretty amazing, and the music was pretty good too, which was a mixture of electro/techno/rock. in between the sets, sparkle crew and takeshi-san djed funky and groovy stuff.
昨晩は2周年記念のお祝いでラウンジ・ルーツ・トウキョウに。パーティーはタバコ銘柄のセブン・スターによるセブン・サウンズ、sparkleとのコラボで、いしわたり淳治さん（元supercar）をヘッドライナーとしてフィーチャー。0時ちょい前に着いたんですが、エントランスの前は既に長蛇の列。中に入るのに結構時間がかかるかと思っていたら、偶然にも山川さん、大隈さんが気付いてくれ、オーナーの武士さんもちょうど僕の真後ろにいたんですんなりと入ることができました。有難うございました。
中に入ると2階も1階もパック状態。ですが、武士さんが親切にもシートを取っていてくれていました。で、レーザーを使った照明やvjは凄かったし、音もエレクトロ／テクノ／ロックをミックスしたような感じで良かったです。セットの合間にはsparkleの皆さん、武士さんがファンキー、グルーヴィーな曲をプレイ。
i didn't think i drank a lot but i guess i did as i missed the stop to get off the train on the way back home. anyway, congratulations on the 2nd anniversary, and big up to takeshi-san and all the lounge roots tokyo staffs! wishing you all the best!! oh, don't forget about musique du jour.....
それほど沢山お酒を飲んだつもりはなかったんですが、どうもそうだったようです。と言うのも、帰りに自分の駅を乗り過ごしてしまったもんで。まぁそんなこんなですが、武士さんをはじめラウンジ・ルーツ・トウキョウのスタッフの皆さん、2周年、本当におめでとうございます！ 今後とも宜しくお願い致します。皆さんのご成功をお祈り申し上げます!! あ、musique du jourもお忘れなく・・・。

for the last couple of days, i was with ken the record dealer and mat the poster dealer who are both visiting japan from florida. on the first day, i went to the hotel where they were staying, turned out that ken's luggages arrived really late, so we had to wait for long time. but mat could manage to dig some posters at a shop near the hotel. then we got a rental car and headed over to another hotel in hatagaya since there was no vacancy in the hotel they stayed.
after the late lunch, we went to see #1 beatles dealer in japan to drop ken off, and mat and i headed to nakano broadway. after spending couple of hours there, we went back to the beatles lab, and there ken was still digging records..... honda-san was kind enough to serve us delicious coffee. the beatles lab was filled with really valuable beatles stuff! after spending another couple of hours there, we went out to eat, and that was the end of the day one.
昨日、一昨日はフロリダから来日しているレコード・ディーラーのケン、ポスター・ディーラーのマットと一緒にいました。初日、まずは滞在先のホテルに行ったんですがケンの荷物の到着が遅れたため、長時間居座ることに。でも、その間にマットは近所のポスター・ショップであれこれ物色できたようです。それからレンタカーを借りて幡ヶ谷にある別のホテルに直行。と言うのも、同じホテルには翌日の空きが無かったらしい。
遅めのランチを食べた後、ケンを日本一のビートルズ・ディーラーのところにドロップし、マットと2人で中野ブロードウェイに。そこで2時間ほどポスターを物色した後、再びビートルズ研究所に戻るもケンは依然としてレコードを物色・・・。本多さんには美味しい珈琲をいれてもらいました（すいません、有難うございました）。ビートルズ研究所はもうビートルズ関連のお宝でいっぱい！ で、さらに2時間ほど過ごした後でご飯を食べに行き、初日が終了。
on the day two, we started with booking hotels in nagoya, fukuoka, hiroshima and osaka. they were glad that they could book hotels at reasonable prices. then we ate lunch at a chinese restaurant and headed over to a shop in itabashi. the guy at the shop was pretty much surprised to see a hat worn by john lennon. then we went to the hotel in jimbocho to drop things off and then went to tokyo station to drop them off. i then went back to the rent-a-car company to return the car and came back home.
2日目、まずは名古屋、福岡、広島、大阪のホテル予約からスタート。リーズナブルな値段で予約でき、2人ともハッピー。中華料理屋に行ってランチを食べ、その後は板橋にあるお店に直行。お店の人はジョン・レノンが被っていた帽子を見てかなり驚いていました。で、神保町のホテルに寄って荷物を降ろし、東京駅まで送り、家路に着く。
since it was the first time for me to drive around in tokyo but thanks to the gps, i had no problem driving around. actually, i was pretty much amazed to find out how gps is useful! anyway, i haven't fully recovered from the cold yet..., i wonder how long it will take.
都内での運転は初めてだったんですがカーナビのおかげで何の問題もありませんでした。改めてカーナビの便利さには随分と感心させられた次第です！ それにしても風邪が治りません。いつになったら治るんだろうか。

he debuted as a member of rock band "supercar." as the band, they released 7 albums and 15 singles. junji ishiwatari wrote all the lyrics and was a guitar player. after the breakup of the band in 2005, he got going as a lyricist and music producer as well as a writer for magazines. he now appears in seven star ads.

since my wife received a package full of shabu shabu set, we had shabu shabu dinner at home, which was the first time. this thin sliced polk is nothing but delicious!! usually, when you eat shabu shabu, you put cooked polk into dipping sauce but you don't need the sauce for this set. also, you have to remove scum but there's no scum from this polk. try this when you get a chance.
うちの奥さんがパッケージいっぱいのしゃぶしゃぶセットを頂いたので、自宅で初めてのしゃぶしゃぶディナー。この黒豚が美味い!! 通常、しゃぶしゃぶを食べる時は肉をタレにつけますが、このセットの場合にはタレが必要ありません。また、あくを取り除かなければならないんですが、これもあくがほとんど出ないんで必要なし。機会がありましたら、ぜひお試しを。

when i opened the mailer software, i noticed that the mailer was receiving old mails from the server. i wondered why but soon realized some of the folders were deleted. i don't know why this happened. but i'm glad that i save important mails in different folders; otherwise, it could have been worse.
メーラー・ソフトを開いた時、サーバーから古いメールを受信していることに気付いたんですよ。何でかな～なんて思っていたんですが、すぐに幾つかのフォルダが消えていることに気付きました。なぜこんなことが起こったのか分かりません。ですが、大切なメールを別のフォルダに保存していたことが不幸中の幸いでした。

for upcoming fourth saturday, i'm selecting records. i do program too but i barely complete the program as i set when i actually play. i guess it's crucial to expect the unexpected situation. i believe my choice, that's it. and of course, i'm not forgetting to check the flip side.
今度の第4土曜日のためにレコード選びを。一応プログラムもするんですが、実際のプレイでプログラムどおりにいくことってあまりありません。予想外の状況を予想しておくことは重要ですね。自分のチョイスを信じるのみです。裏面チェックも忘れていませんよ。
