drink + drink

yesterday, i met up with my wife and her colleague in shibuya (again) to have little bit of drink and food as they took a training class there. however, we ended up ordering a lot..... we went to a korean dining bar called demun, and food was great. it was the first time to see "service charge" on the receipt (table charge was on the receipt too).....

昨日はうちの奥さんと同僚の方が渋谷で研修を受けていたということもあり、再び待ち合わせて軽い食事を。のつもりが、あれこれオーダーしてしまう展開に。で韓国ダイニング・バーのデムンというところのに行ったんですが、料理は美味かったです。ただ、テーブル・チャージのほかに「サービス・チャージ」までがついていたのは初めてでした・・・。

after spending several hours there, my wife and i moved to jinbo-cho to meet ken the record buyer and honda-san the beatles master. there, tommy the toy buyer was there, and we all went to have dinner (again.....). i couldn't resist and slept for a while. but it was always nice to see them and i really enjoyed listening to what ken and honda-san said! it's just hilarious! thanks so much for the presents, ken!

数時間ほど過ごした後、うちの奥さんと自分はレコード・バイヤーのケンとビートルズ研究所の本多さんと2ラウンド目の食事のために神保町へ移動。で、おもちゃバイヤーのトミーが合流。ですが、耐えられずにしばしの間、夢の中へ。でも、彼らに会うのは嬉しいことで、ケンと本多さんの掛け合いは楽しませてもらいました！ もう、大爆笑です！ ケン、プレゼント有難う！

nakameguro prowl

yesterday, my wife and i went to shibuya to buy some presents but ended up buying our stuff (of course, we did buy one but couldn't buy one more). after that, we moved to nakameguro to meet up with ys-san to have dinner together. first, we went to omamori, which was right by meguro river. there, they had some table sets outside and we stayed there. we stayed there from early evening to night, and the weather was perfect: no sweat at all. of course, food was pretty good.

then we walked around to find the next place but most of the places were packed. but finally, we found giggle cafe and kept drinking there. they played music with the bpms 100-120 and emphasis on the kicks which made me really comfortable. the place was comfy too. there, we talked a lot about music, personality, blood type, cafe, etc. it was really fun night!

I really look forward to having monja on a houseboat!!

昨日は幾つかプレゼントを買いにうちの奥さんと渋谷へ。ですが、結局は自分たちのものを買う結果に（勿論、プレゼントを買うには買いましたが、全部は買えず）。その後、ysさんとの食事のために中目黒へ移動。まずは目黒川沿いにあるomamoriへ。そこでは外にテーブル・セットを幾つか出しておりまして、そこに座ったんですが夕方～夜にかけては全然汗をかくこともなく最高でした。勿論、食べ物も美味かった。

それから次のお店を探すためにブラブラと歩くも、ほとんどのお店がお客さんで一杯な状態。でも、最終的にはgiggle cafeを見つけることができ、飲酒継続。音楽はbpmが100～120くらいでキックを効かせた感じがとても気持ち良かった。店内も居心地良し。で、音楽や性格、血液型、カフェ、その他諸々の話題で盛り上がった～！

次は屋形船でのもんじゃ焼き、楽しみです!!

nakagin capsule tower

i had to go to shinbashi and had a chance to see nakagin capsule tower by kisho kurokawa, which was built in the early 70s. i was with brazilian architect and had talked about the architecture for a little while and it was pretty interesting. well, i don't have any knowledge about the architecture. actually, the only knowledge i have is from casa brutus.....

he told me that in tokyo, there are so many buildings by many of famous architects from home and abroad. it's interesting to see buildings by not only seeing the appearances but also the architects, concepts, etc. behind the bulidings.

新橋に行く用事がありまして、その時に70年代初頭に建設された黒川紀章氏の中銀カプセル・タワーを見ることができました。ブラジル人の建築家と一緒だったんですが、ほんの少しだけ建築の話を聞くことができました。と言っても建築に関する知識なんてありません。唯一ある知識と言えば、カーサ・ブルータスからの知識だけでして・・・。

彼曰く、東京には国内外の著名な建築家による様々な建築物があるそうです。で、外見だけではなく、建築家やコンセプト、その他色々の建物の裏側にあるものを見ていくというのは興味深いものがありました。

wondered.....

i had to go to a place last evening but the address i got and another address i got right before i left was different, and i had to go to the second address. although i had time to check the first address in the internet map but i didn't have time to check the other one.

if it were in the us, it would be easy to find as all the addresses are numbered with street names. so, all you have to do is to simply find the street and follow the number. but in japan, addresses are not based on the streets but areas. most addresses are like x-x-x; first one is the broader area in the town, second one is the rather small section in the area and the third one is the address of the place in the section. and this makes me really difficult to find the place. i now really appreciate the map system in the internet.

apart from above, there's one thing that i'm concerned..... it's how to blance the customers and dj's.
