so, we are here

once in a while, i get a chance to see the giant metropolis. i think over; this is where i am. anyway, we wondered around again. with his guide, we walked and stopped by places along the streets. i am surprised that he knows a whole lot more about the town.

たまに景色を眺める機会がります。この街に住んでいるんだよなぁ。と言うわけで再び徘徊。で道沿いにある様々なお店やビルなどを見たり、立ち寄ったり。よく知ってるな～、と本当に驚かされる。

off-street prowl

so, we wondered around again to 1) find a shop and 2) find a place eat. about the shop, we walked around off-street area with the map and we were very close to the point; however, we could't find. we looked over and over, without knowing the fact that we were right by the building. there, they had really great stuff, and one of them was a pair of high-cut sneakes with really cool 70's like illustrations, which covered the entire sneaker.

と言うわけで、1）とあるお店を探すため、そして2）食べるところを探すため、再び徘徊。お店については地図を見ながら路地裏を歩き回り、かなり近くにいるはずなのに見つけられず。なんのことはない、ビルの真横にいたにもかかわらずにあちこちを見渡していました。で、そのお店というのがこれまた色々と良さげなものがありまして、その中でも70年代風のイラストが全体に描かれたハイカットのスニーカーは凄かった。

then we again walked around to find a place to eat. i always feel down in the situation like this; i find myself not knowing any places..... he was like "i wish i knew places." that's my word. but we were glad that we could finally chill out at above place.

それから今度はどこで食べようかということで歩き回りまして。こんな時、全然知らない自分にいつもへこんでしまいます。「色々知っていたらね～」なんて言っていましたが、それは僕のセリフ。最終的に上の写真のところで落ち着けたのが良かったです。

i really thank him for taking me to wonder around as i get to know a whole lot more about the areas!

i really like this photo, so i took it from takeshi-san's blog. the picture composition, poses of takeshi-san, tottoro and passer-by are all perfect, and especially, it's really good with black and white (i changed). this photo is like the one you see in the artist photo books, right? it looks so natural and tells the simplest yet most important thing in our daily life.

gathering

to talk a little bit about the upcoming project, i joined the little gathering last night, and my wife could also make it there (mainly, she needed to talk about the project). we had so much fun eating, drinking and chatting.

今後の展開を聞くため、ちょっとした集まりに参加。で、うちの奥さんも駆けつけ、無事に間に合った（プロジェクトの関係はこっちなんですが）。楽しい集まりでした。

these are the fireking stuff we brought. we have a whole lot more of fireking stuff but we left most of them.....

で、我が家のファイヤーキング達。もっと色々あるんですが、持って来れませんでした・・・。

pendulum charm

this is a pendulum i always carry around, which i got from my wife years and years ago, and which became like a charm to me because i always carry around. whenever i am forced to choose one or questions. i hang it down with my palm facing up and ask. then the pendulum answers; vertical swing means "yes" and horizontal swing means "no".

常に持ち歩いているペンデュラム（振り子ですね）。随分昔にうちの奥さんから貰ったもので、常に持ち歩いているため、お守りのような存在に。選択を迫られた時や聞きたいことがある時は、掌を上に向けてその上でこのペンデュラムをぶら下げ、そして尋ねます。すると、「はい」の時は縦に、「いいえ」の時は横に揺れて答えてくれるんですよ。

eyewear i wear

not as much as i used to be but i wear shades in sunny day. we have them for quite a long time but they are my favorite in these days. considering the fact that the amount of ultraviolet ray is increasing in these years, we should wear them more often. me and my wife are hoping that oakley will rerelease the leopard-print patterned shades sold years and years ago.

以前に比べてあまりサングラスをかけなくなりましたが、それでも天気の良い日にはかけます。このサングラスは随分前から持っているんですが、最近のお気に入り。紫外線の量が増えていることを考えると、もう少し頻繁にかけるべきでしょうか。我が家では、オークリーが10年以上も昔に発売していたヒョウ柄のサングラスを再発売しないかと期待しているところです。

it was really hot and nice during the day but it was a bit cool at night, so i stopped by at a store to find something to wear. i went up and down, and finally i found this hooded parka. however, it's a short sleeve..... i like the fluorescent green color as an accent and the ball-head zipper. i wish the zipper could be opened from the bottom too.

日中は暑くてとても良い天気だったんですが、夜になったらちょ～っと肌寒くなったので上着になるようなものを物色。上に行ったりしたに行ったりしてやっと良さげなパーカを見つけました。でも、半袖だったりして・・・。蛍光グリーンのアクセントとチャックのつまみがボール状になっているのが良い感じで。チャックを下からも開けられたらもっと良い。
