in this non-smoking world, i couldn't believe that i could smoke in the bullet train. they still have smoking cars (not the designated small spot), which means you can smoke in your seat. i felt like i went back to more than a decade ago.
この禁煙万歳な世の中、まさか新幹線の中で喫煙ができるとは。未だに喫煙車両があるんですね（しかも、小さな喫煙場所ではなく）、つまり自分の座席で喫煙ができるということ。一昔前に戻ったような感じでした。

and i found and bought these rubber-sole (platform) shoes with fringe at ur (70% off of retail price!). these were the last pair and were perfect size! my wife bought a pair of boots with fringe a few moments ago, so we were "fringe pair." (see the picture below)

we found this bottle of "tengu water" coincidentally at urban research. this water is from kurama where we visited.
urban researchにて「鞍馬和水」を偶然発見。この水は鞍馬の湧き水。で、翌日は鞍馬。なんとも奇遇。
