i got this 12" from shiro amamiya, older brother of amamiya brothers who are the ecstasy boys. i got this when we were at limelight in new york long long time ago. i think there was a conference or something like cmj.... i don't remember but anyway, we were at the dj booth, and there those amamiyas were djing. interesting thing was that gomi played keyboard along with the music they spin. we were like "ohhhh, myyyyy!!" what they kept saying was "open your chakra!" we all went to the next party and there we saw boy george walking into the club. i was like "he's small....."

anyway, tracks are all very much spiritual trance kinda stuff. "on mai kareiya sowaka"

こちらの12”はか～なり昔、雨宮志狼さん（ecstasy boysである雨宮兄弟のお兄さんの方）から頂きました。ニューヨークのライムライトにいたときにもらったもの。よ く覚えていませんが、cmjかなんか大きなイベントがあり、それでライムライトのdj ブースにいたのですが、ちょうど雨宮兄弟がプレイしているところで、興味深かった のは五味さんがトラックに合わせてキーボードをプレイしていたこと。それはまるで 「スゲ～～～!!」。そして、彼らが口癖のように繰り返し言ってたこと「チャクラを 開け～!!」 そして、みんなで次のパーティーにも行きました。そこでボーイ・ ジョージがクラブに入っていくのを目撃。感想は「ちっちぇ～～～!!」

というわけで、トラックは全てスピリチュアルなトランスっぽい感じ。「オンマイカレイヤソワカ～」

my headphones

i have been using the headphones for more than 10 years now! although i have replaced the ear pads, they are still in near perfect condition. almost all the dj's in st. louis area used them in the mid-90's. i bought them at best buy for $99.99 or so.

このヘッドフォンはかれこれ10年以上も使用してます！耳のパッド部分は交換しましたが、あとは依然としてほぼ完璧な状態です。90年代半ば、セントルイスにいたほどんどすべてのdjが当時はこのヘッドフォンを使用してました。こちらはベスト・バイで購入、確か99.99ドルとかそんな感じだった。

i bought this at gramaphone records in chicago in the mid-90's. it hold about 80 records. i used this a lot when i played at clubs, cafes and parties. as everyone does, i too put a lot of stickers on it. however, since it's heavy to carry around, i barely use this any more, except when i have to bring many vinyls.

こちらは、シカゴにあるグラマフォン・レコーズ で90年代半ばに購入したもの。レコードが80枚ほど入ります。クラブやカフェ、パーティーなどでプレイしていた頃、よく使ってました。みんながやっているように、僕も色々とステッカーを貼ってます。ただ、持ち歩くには重いため、今はレコードをいっぱい持っていかなければならない時などをのぞいて殆ど使用してません。

special one by mister donut :

this is not a record bag but vinyls perfectly fits in it. i got this from mister donut. i collected points and got two of them. i don't carry it around but they are useful for storing vinyls at home.

こちらはレコード・バッグではないのですが、ちょうどレコードが入ります。こちらはミスター・ドーナッツ でゲット。ポイントを集めて2つもらいました。持ち歩いてはいませんが、家でレコードを入れておくのに便利です。

there are a crate i would like to get which is sold at dmr but i need like more than 7 or so crates in order to stock all the vinyls which could not fit in the shelves.....

dmr で販売されているクレイトが欲しい。でも、棚に収まらないレコードすべてを入れるとなったら、7つ以上必要・・・。

集めているわけではありませんが、幾つかレコード・バッグを持っています。

mo' wax bag:

this is the mo' wax bag (the first model). i bought this bag at a record store in the us (back in the mid-90's). i got a discount on this, so it was really cheap like 50 bucks or so. i once saw the same bag in tokyo (in the same period) and the price tag says "25,700yen" or something like that..... with this amount of japanese yen, i could buy 4 of them in the us. anyway, it holds about 50-60 records.

これはモーワックス （ファースト・モデル）のバッグです。米国に住んでいた頃に買いました（90年代半ば頃）。割引してもらったので、50ドルかそれくらいとかなり安く購入することができました。一度、東京で同じバッグを見かけたのですが（ちょうど同じ時期）、値札には「25,700円」とかそんな感じの値段が・・・。こんな金額だったら、同じバッグが米国では4つは買えます。このバッグにはレコードが50～60枚ほど入ります。

i bought this bag about 3 years ago (at the same record store) when we visited the us. since i bought so many records, i needed to get the bag, so i buoght it. it hold about 70 records, and it has thick sponge inside to protect vinyls.

こちらのバッグは3年ほど前、旅行に行った際に購入（同じお店で）。かなりの枚数のレコードを購入したため、レコード・バッグが必要となり、それで買ったバッグです。こちらのバッグにはレコードが70枚ほど入ります。そして内側にはレコードを保護するためのかなり分厚いスポンジが入ってます。

bm soho bag:

i bought this bag in london about a couple of years ago. i bought a lot of records when i visited there and i needed to get a bag, so i bought it at bm soho . actually, this is the most useful and easy-to-carry bag. it hols about 70 records and there are many pockets (on both sides and inside). it's got a detachable small bag attached to the bag. whenever i travel abroad, i always bring this bag and come back with the bag full of records.

このバッグは2年ほど前にロンドンに行ったとき購入したもの。かなりの枚数のレコードを購入したため、またもやレコード・バッグが必要となり、それでブラック・マーケット で購入しました。実のところ、こちらのバッグが一番使いやすく、そして持ち運びも楽なバッグです。こちらには70枚ほどのレコードが入り、（両サイドや内側などに）ポケットがたくさん付いています。また、取り外し可能な小さいバッグも付いています。海外に行くときにはいつもこのバッグを持って行き、そしてレコード一杯にして帰ってきます。

14 is the magic number!!

i am thinking about reducing the cigarettes i smoke. i usually smoke about a pack or less than a pack of cigarettes a day. and i would like to reduce to 14 cigaretts a day, which is the perfect number for my cigarette case!! and i can save some money too!!!

吸うタバコの本数を減らそうかと考えているところです。通常、一日に1パックないしは1パック弱吸っています。これを14本まで減らしたい。14本はちょうどタバコ・ケースの本数とぴったり!! お金もセーブできるし!!!

caspian yoghurt

i used to eat caspian yoghurt, some crackers and a couple of glasses of red wine for dinner. the reason was that i needed to lose some weights (gained a lot!). in 10 months or so, i lost like 12kg. since it took me a long time, it was very healthy for my body. however.....

now, i gained again..... so, i need to do the same thing but uhh you know, work gets tougher and stress from the work gets tougher, it's getting a little bit difficult for me now.

well, gotta do is gotta do. otherwise, i'll be like homer !!!!!!

以前、夕食としてカスピ海ヨーグルト、クラッカー数枚、そしてグラス・ワイン2杯を食べ・飲んでいた時期がありました。理由は体重を落とすため（かなり肥えてた！）。10ヵ月ほどしたら12キロ落ちました。時間をかけたんで体にも良かった。ですが・・・。

今、また太ってしまいました・・・。というわけで、また同じことをする必要があるんですが、う～ん、仕事がきつくなり、そこから来るストレスもきつくなっているため、これがどうしてなかなか簡単にはいかなくなってるんですよね～。

でも、やらなきゃならないことはやらなきゃならないこと。そうでもしないと、ホーマー になっちゃう～!!!

hifana (sequel)

this is the sequel of my impression of hifana. last night, i watched the dvd attached to the cd i bought. i was just amazed and so excited. i wrote their music is just great but after watching the dvd, i was like whatta f**k!!

they use all the equipments, sequence, and program tracks when they record tracks but on their live show, what they do is hitting the pads on akai samplers and play tracks (in real time)!! their style is like manual/analog play with using digital equipments (and of course some acoustic instruments too). i truly recommend everyone to watch this dvd if you guys get a chance.

i really wanna see their show!!

これはハイファナの感想の続きです。昨晩、この間買ったcdに付いていたdvdを見ました。もうすごくて、興奮しちゃいました。以前に、彼らの音楽はすごいといったことを書いたのですが、このdvdを見た後はもうなんかなんじゃこりゃあぁぁぁああぁぁ！！ てな感じでした。

レコーディングの際は色んな機材を使ってつなげてプログラムしてトラックを作っているようなのですが、ライブではアカイ・サンプラーのパッドを叩くなどして曲を演奏していくのです（しかも、リアルタイムで）！！ なんか、デジタルな機材（勿論、生楽器もね）を使用したマニュアル／アナログ的なスタイル。機会がありましたら、是非見るように大大大推薦です。

ライブを見てみたいなぁ～。

snow again!!

i knew why it's been like butt shakin' cold. i looked outside and there i saw snow again!! i checked the metropolitan highway site and all the highways are closed as of this morning. gotta go to the airport tonight..... i hope all the snow's gone by the time i go there.

なんでこんなにクソ寒いのか（失礼）、分かりました。外を見たら、またもや雪が降ってるじゃありませんか！ 高速道路のサイトを見たら、今朝の時点で全てが閉鎖。今夜、空港に行かなければならないんですが・・・。その時までには雪がとけていますように。
