In the bible, John Chapter 1 describes Jesus as being the Word: " in the beginning was the word and word was with God and the word was God." Jesus is the living breathing word of God. He is the word incarnate. When he came into the world as a human being and experienced life, he was completely authentic in his responses to people, circumstance and situations. A living example on how we should respond to life.
We also see written down in In John Chapter 8:12 , that Jesus describes himself as being the "light of the world" . There are many colours that make up the light spectrum, to create pure light. So it is with the Word of God. Jesus is all the colours of the light spectrum. Each verse in scripture has all the spectrums of light, creating layers and depth and Jesus was all of those layers...as many as the stars in the sky or the sand on the sea shore.
When we apply Gods word to our daily lives we may learn one 'colour' ; in other words one truth. But there are so many colours. This is exciting. I have so much to learn, experience and enjoy on my journey following Jesus and becoming more like him.
