7月より、東京上野ライオンズクラブ第59代会長を仰せつかりました。
ライオンズクラブは、世界規模で奉仕活動をしています。豪雨災害への支援、不足している献血への啓蒙活動等、多岐にわたります。
現在、新型コロナウィルス感染症のために、肉体的、精神的、経済的にも様々なダメージを受けている方々が沢山いらっしゃいます。ライオンズクラブのスローガンにもある、「自由を守り、知性を重んじ、我々の国の安全をはかること」こそ、今、メンバーに求められていることと思います。
新しい生活様式が求められている状況ですが、柔軟性に富む多彩なアイデアを捻出しながら、ライオンズクラブの社会奉仕の推進力をさらにいっそう活気づくものにできればと努力いたします。
Lions Clubs International is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. As of January 2020, it had over 46,000 local clubs and more than 1.4 million members (Lions & LEO) in more than 200 countries around the world.
