ついこの間、用事があって横須賀に行ってきました。
横須賀には仕事で行くことが多いので、
もしかすると、横須賀のサンデードライバーよりも
道を知っているかもしれません。(笑)
そんな感じなので、今までお土産なんて
買おうとする意識も無かったんです。
なので、帰りに、横須賀パーキングエリアに立ち寄って
海軍カレーのレトルトパックを買ってみました。
今までそんなに気にしてなかったんですが、
いろんな種類があるもんですね。
どういうカレーを横須賀海軍カレーと
呼ぶのかも知りませんが、、、
口に入れた時には甘味が広がるのですが、
そのあと辛味が追いかけてくるようなそんな味でした。
次はもうちょっと値段の高いのを
買ってみようかと思います。(笑)

さて、さて、選曲ですが、「海軍」とくれば、
やっぱりこの曲しかないでしょう的な、
ヴィレッジ・ピープルの1979年のヒット曲
「イン・ザ・ネイビー」です。
「海軍、イイぜー！みんなで入ろうぜー！」
って歌です。
何が「イイぜ！」なのかは、そこは
ゲイ・ピープルにとっての「楽園」なんですね。
一度、航海に出てしまえば、それこそずーっと
長く一緒にいられるワケですから、なおさらです。
そうなんです。この歌は「ゲイ賛歌」なんです。
それを、アメリカ海軍ではリクルートの
キャンペーン・ソングに採用しようとしたり、
日本のピンクレディは
「やりたくなったらやっちゃいな♪」
って歌っていたりしています。(笑)

ところで、、、メンバーそれぞれ
男らしくてゲイに受けそうなコスプレをしています。
いつもは、リードボーカルは白バイ警官 (?)、
後のコーラスの黒人はGIなんですが、
この曲の時は、海軍にちなんで
艦長 (?) と水兵の衣装を着ています。
ちなみに、今日、3月4日は、
レイザーラモンHGみたいな衣装を着ている
グレン・ヒューズ (Glenn Hughes) の命日です。
