さて2011年4月に国内大学院への進学を決意し、2012年7月の入学に向けて準備をスタートしました。
願書の提出は2012年1月まで、その後2012年2月に面接、2012年4月初旬に合格発表という流れです。
提出しなければならない主な書類は下記の通りでした。
- 願書
- TOEICまたはTOEFLのスコア
- 英文Personal Essay
- 学生時代の卒業証明書・成績証明書（英文）
- 推薦状（1通） など
この当時の仕事の状況ですが、
① 2012年3月～7月 業務・システム定着化プロジェクトのマネージャー（PM）
② 2012年8月 研修・休暇
③ 2012年9月～11月 戦略プロジェクト（途中からPM、帰宅時間は比較的早い）
④ 2012年12月～2013年3月 戦略プロジェクト（かなり帰りが遅い）
といったような感じでしたので、②③の期間中にがっつり英語を再度勉強したのを覚えています。
ひさしぶりに受けたTOEICは散々なもので、持ち直すまで参考書を何回も解き直し、休日はマクドナルドで勉強、
時にはホテルに泊まりこんで何とかスコアを上げる努力をしました。
2012年11月（出願2か月前）からはPersonal Essayや推薦状の準備です。
推薦状は私のことを理解してくださっている会社のパートナー(事業部長)の方にご依頼をし、書いていただきました。
Personal Essayで聞かれた質問は下記のとおりです。

Please describe in detail your plan for the Business Project (*In‐Company Project / Internships / Independent Research Report) and discuss how you intend to integrate the Project with your broader educational and career goals.
これは学部時代にお世話になっていた教員の方にレビューを依頼し、年末も新橋のマックで籠りながら書いていたのをいまでも覚えています。
卒業証明書なども時間がかかるので早めに準備をしておくとよいと思います。
次は面接対策について書いていきたいと思います。
