正月の休暇は例年と違うものになりそうです。

It looks like the New Year relax is about to be different.

前編の続きです。
竹駒神社に行った後、
次の場所まで2km歩きました。

Continue from the first part,
After I went to Takekoma shrine,
I walked for 2 km to the next place.

散歩中、地元のおじさんと話をしました。
おじさんは60代という年齢でしたが、とても力強く、

歩くことが大好きな方でした。

During the walk, I had a talk with the local uncle.
He was quite 60s but so strong and love in walking.

おじさんは幼少期から岩沼で育ち、東京の大学に進学し、

その後、東京と埼玉で新聞社に勤務しました。
He grew in Iwanuma from childhood, until attended the university in Tokyo,
Before working for newspaper in Tokyo and Saitama.

その後、4年前に故郷に戻ることを決意しました。
そこでは実家と素敵な時間が待っていました。

After that he decided to come back to hometown 4 years ago,
Where the home and lovely time awaited.

おじさんは20年前、社員旅行で香港と並んでタイにも行きました。
温かく明るい街で過ごした楽しい時間は今でも鮮明に覚えています。

He was in Thailand 20 years ago as company trip along with Hong Kong as well.
He still memorized the good time with warm and lightful city.

この写真では、田んぼが4人の所有者に細かく分割されており、
当時はそこで人々が一緒に稲刈りをするイベントが行われていました。

In this picture, the rice field was finely divided into 4 owners,
That time there were events that people like to harvest rice together there.

岩沼市にはすごく気になりました。
同窓会のような高齢者向けのコミュニティもありました。
田舎暮らしのような、それほど寂しい街ではないと思いました。

I was quite curious about Iwanuma City.
There were communities for seniors, like reunion as well.
I thought there is not so lonely town, like good day rural.

天気は良くて、雪も少し降っていましたが、
歩くのが予想以上に長くなりました。
その間バスが止まっていることに気づくまでは。

The weather was quite good with some snow, 
But walking was longer than expected.
Until I realized the bus was off during that time.

実際、混雑している時間帯には、
公共交通機関でのアクセスがより重要になります。
そのため、交通渋滞は緩和されるはずですが、

ここではそうではありません。

Actually, when there are crowded time,
Access through public transportation is more important,
So the traffic jam will be decreased, but not here.

バスがあれば、駐車場の問題は解決します。
ほとんどのバスは駅周辺にあるでしょうから。
道路の渋滞もそれほど長くはかからないでしょう。

If there was the bus, parking problem will be solved,
As most of them would be around the station,
And road blocking would not be too long.

さあ、金蛇水神社へ。
文字通り、お金とお金。

Here I was, "Kanehebimizu Shrine".
Literally, Money and Money.

混雑していましたが、とても美しい装飾でした。

It was crowded but very beautiful decoration.

あの雰囲気で人が少なかったら、すごく落ち着くと思います。
特に、花や庭がたくさんあると。

I would feel relaxed if there was few people with that atmosphere.
Especially, with several flowers and garden.

お守り屋さんと本殿は別々にありました。
本殿は境内から200メートルほど入ったところにあります。
お守り屋さんはかなり混雑していました。

The amulet shop and main shrine were located separately,
Main shrine was around 200 m inside,
Bur the amulet shop was quite crowded.

本殿は丘の頂上にあったので、
街の景色は美しいはずです。

The main shrine was on the top of hill,
So looking to the city should be beautiful.

神社の中にも鯉がいました。
太宰府天満宮のような雰囲気ですが、金運バージョンですね。

There was carps inside the shrine as well.
Feeling like Dazaifu Tenmangu, but for money wish version.

結論として、岩沼市への訪問は予想とは全く異なりました。
目的地に着くまでに2～3km歩くのは楽しかったです。
でも、バスがあればもっと便利だったと思います。

In conclusion, visiting Iwanuma City was quite different from the expectation,
I liked walking for 2-3 km to reach destination.
But if there was bus, it would be more convenient.
