本日は、実践ビジネス英語 Role Reversal（役割転換）の第5回目です。
■ have mixed feelings about
「･･･について複雑な感情を抱く」という意味で、have both good and bad feelings about somethingということです。have mixed emotionsとも言います。
■ judgmental
「批判的な」、「一方的に判断する」という意味です。:「自分は絶対的に正しいという傲慢なイメージ」があります。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
He is very judgmental about divorce.
■ catty
「意地の悪い」、「悪意のある」という意味で、spitefulやcruelと同義です。
女性に対して使う言葉のようです。
■ insinuate
「遠まわしに言う」という意味で、hint or convey something indirectlyということです。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Are you insinuating that I am slacking off?
■ less of a man
「男らしくない」という意味です。less of a woman（女性らしくない）などless of aの後に名詞を入れると色々な表現ができます。
■ traditional gender role
「伝統的な性別による役割分担」という意味です。
■ put the company first and family second
「会社を第一に家族は二の次にする」という意味です。
put something firstは、give something top priority over other thingsということです。
次のような例文が挙げられていました。
She always puts her career first.
なお、come firstやcome secondという用法もあります。
My daughter comes first no matter what.
■ career prospects
「出世の可能性」という意味です。
