■ update
動詞で「最新のものにする」、「最新の情報を与える」という意味です。
■ keep track of
「・・・の跡を追う」、「･･･の経過を追う」という意味で、stay informedということです。次のような例文が挙げられていました。
People use schedule books to keep track of their appointments.
■ take a hard line on
「･･･について強固な姿勢をとる」という意味で、"hard line"とは、strict or uncompromising position on somethingということです。以下のような例文が挙げられていました。.
Her company takes a hard line on gifts from suppliers.
■ hit the roof
口語で「激怒する」という意味で、become angryとかlose one's temperとも言います。また、hitの代わりにgo through、roofの代わりにceilingを使うこともあります。
■ shipshape
「整然とした」という意味で、in good order or conditionということです。
■ on the work front
「仕事の領域で」、「職場で」という意味です。
■ time
動詞で「タイミングを調整する」という意味で、arrange for something to happen at a certain timeということです。以下のような例文が挙げられていました。
Company X timed product launch to coincide with its anniversary celebrations.
■ handle routine stuff
「お決まりの仕事を処理する」という意味で、routineを使った次のような例文が挙げられていました。
Her morning routine starts with some yoga, then she has breakfast and checks her email.
