実践ビジネス英語 Lesson1 Summer Camp for Adults（大人のためのサマーキャンプ）の第3回目です。
■ get on the swings
「ブランコに乗る」という意味です。
関連した表現にget into the swing of things.というのが挙げられていました。こちらの意味は、物事がうまくいくようになるという意味（get familiar with an activity or situation）のようです。
■ be banned from
「･･･（に入ることを）禁止されている」という意味で、be barred, prohibited from going somewhere or doing somethingと説明されていました。例文としては以下のものが挙げられていました。
She's been banned from the office until the investigation is complete.
■ stand a better chance of
「･･･の見込み（可能性が）がより高い」という意味で、have a better chanceと同義です。.
■ stem the rise in
「～の増加を食い止める」という意味で、stop the rise inとも言えると思います。
■ gym-averse
「ジム嫌いの」という意味です。a risk-averse investor（ リスクを嫌う投資家）が例として挙げられていました。
■ with about the same enthusiasm as going to the dentist
「歯科医に行くのと同じくらいの情熱をもって」という意味です。「歯科医に行く」というのは、あまりやりたくないことの一つで、反語的な意味になります。同様に、as glamourous as taking the bus「バスに乗るのと同じくらい魅力的＝あまり魅力的でない」や、need something like a hole in the head「･･･を全く必要としない」という例が（テキストに）挙げられていました。
■ dread
「恐れる」、「嫌でたまらない」という意味で、fear something greatlyという意味です。
