What are some good graduation stories?

☆March is graduation season, so what are your graduation memories?

Anzai:

It's kind of bragging, is that OK?

☆Of course.

Anzai:

I was pretty popular in high school.

☆Figures, yeah.

Anzai:

Hahahaha! When you're in high school, the first years see the third years as being mature, and maybe about 50% cooler.

☆And you became another 50% cooler on top of that, right?

Anzai:

Yeah (*laughs*). I turned out to be pretty popular in my third year of high school, so I naturally lost all the buttons off my uniform, and people said they wanted my sweater and my shirt, too, so I ended up giving them all away. After the graduation ceremony, I went out with my class, and I remember everyone was wearing their uniform except for me.

☆You were the only person in your class like that?

Anzai:

There were a few people who had one or two buttons missing, but I was the only one who had all their buttons missing.

☆Even so, that was generous of you. Buttons are understandable, but you even gave some of your clothes away.

Anzai:

I guess I've always been that way, but I think it's just that I'm happy when I make other people happy. So, when people say they want something of mine, that's fine by me, of course there are things I want to keep for the memories, but they'll just end up cluttering up my house, right? If it's gonna be like that, then I think it's better to make someone happy, even if it's just for that moment. It's not like they're definitely going to remember it five or ten years down the line. Like, "Oh, I got this from that guy".

☆Nah, they'll remember more than you expect. There'll be people who you're an important memory for.

Anzai:

Is that so? Then, if I become more and more famous, they'll be able to say, "I got Anzai's second button", or "I got Anzai's sweater" or whatever.

☆They'll get bragging rights.

Anzai:

I want them to be able to do that.

☆Come to think of it, those things are potential treasures.

Anzai:

Hahahaha! Just because I wanted to make someone happy at that time in the moment.

☆Do you think those people will be happy to hear this?

Anzai:

It's definitely better than them not hearing about this. That's about it, it's a good thing.

☆So, you're saying you've always been popular?

Anzai:

Are you gonna edit that out? (laughs)

☆By the way, is there anything you'd like to graduate from now?

Anzai:

When you say "graduate from" something, can I talk about some kinda careless habits? I've got lots of those.

☆What things?

Anzai:

First of all, I wanna graduate from undisciplined things like pulling all-nighters and procrastinating, and eating sweet things even though I know they're bad for me. I've got a lot of things I want to graduate from.

☆But, you can't quite do it?

Anzai:

Yeah. They've all become part of my lifestyle somehow.

☆But, some of those things can relieve stress, right?

Anzai:

I guess so. I don't want to do anything even a little bit stressful before a title match, because, weirdly, I feel like it'll have an effect on the match. Also... well, I have to look good in my current position.

☆Current position?

Anzai:

When I say current position, I mean that I'm absolutely not a rookie any more. I've been the Triple Crown Champion, and I'm currently an Asia Tag champion. But, although it could be said that I'm already in the next stage up, in reality, I haven't landed there with both feet yet. I feel like I want to graduate from this incomplete version of myself.

☆What a wonderful way to end the interview.

Anzai:

Sorry for being so serious (laughs).

Yuni (DDT)

"My type is modest, charming, and easy to talk to. NωA Jr. doesn't have a relationship ban, but..."

I got a lot of Valentines in elementary school. I also played with girls a lot. Recently, I see a lot of girls giving each other chocolate, not girls giving chocolate to boys. I thought, "It's a chocolate exchange party!" (*laughs*)

There were girls I liked in elementary school, but I never told them how I felt. They figured  out that I liked them, though.

My type of girl is charming and easy to talk to. I prefer people who are always smiling and easy to talk with to the popular girls. Maybe, I like modest types.

I think the most important thing is having fun together. If it's love at first sight, you don't know their personality or anything like that. I start to think someone's cute while talking to them about a lot of things and getting to know them. So, I often start liking girls I've made friends with.

I want to go on a date at an amusement park or somewhere like that. I like Disneyland. There are waiting times, but if I'm with someone I like, then anything is fun, right? I think we can even enjoy waiting in line for the attractions.

I'm also an idol wrestler with "NωA Jr.". They haven't said there's anything like a relationship ban, but I feel like it's implied (*strained laugh*). But, we have freedom. It's OK if I do, it's OK if I don't. I think it's OK to do the things I want to do.
