On June 3rd, I went to see DNA at Shinjukumura Studio C106!
Over the past year or so, I've become a really huge fan of DNA! They consistently put on very high quality shows with fantastic matches. I always looks forward to seeing their shows, because I know I'm going to see something special every time! I would recommend DNA to anyone who loves pro-wrestling!
This time, the fan club photo event was with Naomi Kingdom! This was a very rare opportunity, because you can't have mini Polaroids taken with Naomi Yoshimura after the show the way you can with all of the other guys in DNA. So, this is my first photo with Naomi Yoshimura!
I also tried out the DNA sticker lottery for the first time! The stickers are the tickets in this lottery, and they cost 500yen each. If you get a shiny sticker, or a sticker with 当 written on the back, this means you've won a prize! Two of Shunma Katsumata's old costume T-shirts were up for grabs, but sadly, I didn't manage to win any of those... however, my Daiki Shimomura sticker had a 当 mark on the back, so I won a cute DDT keychain!
These stickers are kinda cool! I think I'll try this lottery again next time!

Kouju Takeda and Rising HAYATO vs. Daiki Shimomura and Nobuhiro Shimatani
This opening match set a very high standard for the rest of the show! This is typical of DNA, as they often have very strong opening matches. However, with two teams who are so good, this couldn't help but be a good match! Gran MilliMeters (Shimomura and Shimatani) may be small in stature, but they have a huge amount of talent, and they always put a lot of effort into their matches.
This match had such a dramatic finish, too! Just when it seemed like HAYATO was about to pin Shimatani, Shimomura ran in and hit him with a rising elbow smash, allowing Shimatani to pin HAYATO for the three count!
HAYATO and Takeda were both very good, in this match, too, and it's great that they've decided to form a tag team together! I'm looking forward to seeing how they get on.

Chou-un Shiryuu and Rekka vs. Sou Matou and An Puu-Ye(sp?)
This match was so much fun to watch! Everyone pulled out some really interesting moves, and it was a very good match! It was really great to see Sou Matou and An Puu-Ye working together, too!
(By the way, in Japanese, An Puu-Ye's name can also be read as "Yasu Urano". I'm sure that's just a huge coincidence, though.)

Konosuke Takeshita vs. Yuki Iino
Takeshita defeated Iino (10mins 27s, German Suplex Hold).
Yuki Iino's comeback match! As a big fan of Iino, I was really happy to finally be able to see him wrestle again! His opponent was originally supposed to be Yuki Ueno, but sadly, he couldn't take part in the show due to an injury. So, DDT's Konosuke Takeshita was called in to take Ueno's place!
This match was brilliant! Takeshita didn't go easy on Iino... in fact, a lot of Takeshita's attacks focused on Iino's recently-healed elbow! But, this didn't stop Iino from fighting back with his characteristic power. This was a really hard-hitting match, and neither Takeshita or Iino held anything back! This match is absolutely worth watching!

Koji Kanemoto and Mizuki Watase vs. Mike Bailey and MAO
Watase defeated MAO (11mins 43s, Tiger Suplex Hold).
MAO's ItsuDoko bracer was passed to Watase. Watase took possession of two ItsuDoko bracers.
凄い試合でした!結果は予想出来なかったけど、MAO選手は渡瀬選手に負けてびっくりしました!
This match was great! It was very difficult to guess who would end up winning this one, because both teams work together very well, and they have very different styles of wrestling, with MAO/Bailey tending to favour an athletic, high flying style, and Kanemoto/Watase having a somewhat more hard-hitting style with lots of powerful strikes.
That being said, it was still quite surprising to see Watase defeating MAO and taking his Any Time Anywhere Right to Challenge Bracer!
I translated a Weekly Pro-Wrestling article about the events leading up to this match! Read it here!
時々怖かったけど、凄い試合でした!めっちゃ激しい試合を見せた!
次回、岩崎選手と中津選手は何をするのかな。。。?楽しみにしています!
Although this match was scary in places, it was amazing! You could really feel the heat between these two! I was actually worried at some points during the match, because they seemed to be really stiff with their attacks (especially when Nakatsu kicked Iwasaki in the head... that one shocked quite a few people! But, Iwasaki was OK!). However, I enjoyed this match a lot! I get the feeling we haven't seen the last of this intense rivalry...!
(中津選手の表情が凄いですね!)
(Nakatsu's facial expressions are amazing!)
岩崎選手は中津選手の頭を外すつもりだったかな。。。(笑)
Iwasaki was really offended by the fact that Nakatsu's head was still attached to his body, so he tried to do something about that.

Akito and Shunma Katsumata vs. Keisuke Okuda and Akira Jo
Katsumata defeated Okuda (15mins 3s, ¡Hasta la vista! -> kata ebi gatame).
I loved this match! Okuda and Jo proved to be very challenging opponents for Katsumata and Akito, but my boy Katsumata was finally able to score a victory against Okuda! A great match from start to finish!
Another fantastic main event from DNA! I really enjoyed this one a lot.
A lot of fans are speculating about the future of Naomi Kingdom after the events of this show... Okuda was defeated by Katsumata, then Umeda defeated Yoshimura, and even got a handshake from him after the match! It'll be very interesting to see how things develop for Naomi Kingdom after this! I'm really looking forward to seeing the card for DNA 46!
As usual, I had mini Polaroids taken after the show! This time, I had them taken with Yuki Iino, Shunma Katsumata, Rekka, and Mizuki Watase!
I have the same damn facial expression in all of these photos...
Sadly, I won't be able to make it to DNA 46, as it'll take place in Osaka, and I have to work that day... However, I'm already looking forward to DNA 47!
I'm going to try to lose a little weight by then, so I can look nicer in my photos with the lads! Wish me luck!
