つくばインターナショナルスクールTISを迎えて& 野犬相談

先日、今年２回目となる

つくばインターナショナルスクール(TIS)の生徒の、CAPIN 第１シェルター訪問がありました。

今回も、暖かな気候に恵まれました♪

先ず初めに、

鶴田代表にご挨拶頂き

茨城県における保護犬の近年の状況や

2/18(日)に開催予定の里親会のポスターを見せながら、

月に２回開催し、新しいずっとの家族へ繋げる活動を行なっている旨お話し頂きました。

この様な活動がある事を子供達に知って貰えるとても素晴らしい機会となったと思います。

今回の石川トレーナーの犬の勉強会は、

シェルターから参加のカカオ、

ボランティアさんのお宅から参加のシェルター出身アポロ君と愛犬クリタロウ君の

３頭が参加。

カカオは、次回開催の里親会にも参戦します！

今回はモデル犬として、石川トレーナーと共にクレートの重要性・使い方を披露しました。

カカオ、上手にクレートに入れるんですよ♪

その後、子供達全員が、チャレンジ！！

石川トレーナーを見ていると簡単そうに見えますが！

子供達、あれ？あれ〜⁇となりながらも

ワイワイ楽しそうにトライしていました。

その後、お散歩組とシェルターへのペイント組に分かれての第２幕スタート♫

お散歩大好きカカオは、ここでも大活躍🎶

子供達の吸収力たるや！

第１回目にも参加した子が、前回より落ち着いて自信さえ感じるハンドラー振りを見せてくれました。

先ず知る事・そして経験する事が子供達にとって宝となると改めて感じました。

今回参加しているTISの生徒達は、中高生。

あと数年で、色々な国に飛び立って行く子達です！

その国々によって犬事情は異なると思いますが、今回の経験をそれぞれの引き出しに入れ、いつか何かしらの形で、役立つ事を心から願っています。

現代の情報社会において、今の子供達は私達が子供の頃より、沢山の知識を持っています。

ただ、命の大切さについてはどうでしょう？

シェルターで得た知識・経験が

彼らの心に、命とは？

と問いかける機会となります様に！

ペイントチームも大活躍し、

シェルターが華やかになってきました。

次回３回目がラストです。

また経験を増やし成長していく彼らを見るのが楽しみです♪

Dear TIS students and teachers, welcome to the

CAPIN shelter.

We started our work in 2008 with kitten rescue and TNR and opened this shelter in 2011.

We initially ran this shelter to rescue the animals

in Fukushima No-go-zone after Nuclear disaster,

dogs and cats abandoned or abused by their owners;

in 2015, we solved the stray dog issue in Joso City

and made Joso City the first city to achieve

a no kill policy.

In 2019, we started the struggle to reduce the number of dogs killed in Ibaraki Prefecture,

and we opened the second shelter near here and

brought four dogs every week, the number that would have been killed by the government Animal Controll

Center.

In 5 years we brought more than 600 dogs here.

These are the dogs that would have been killed in the past.

Many of them are stray dogs, biting dogs and other

dogs with special needs, so we want to find them new families through dog training with our care and love.
We open every weekend the adoption meeting

in various area.

Next week we will open an adoption party for the dogs in open area besides x-restaurant Casa in Ottonuma Park. Here is the poster.

The second Saturday of the month is a cat foster meeting at Cafe Neko Dango. It starts at 15:00 today.

Please visit this café, after this event maybe. which serves delicious curry and rice.

On the fourth Saturday it's yoga and veggie lunch day. We do this every month on the second floor of the Pal TNR Animal Welfare Hospital (That's CAPIN's clinic). Once a month we also have a free morning service for volunteers and friends of CAPIN.

And in California DOG in Tsukuba city we hold an adoption party for cats.

Come and enjoy volunteering with dogs and cats any moment.

In several states in the USA, legislators and animal welfare organisations have worked together to create ordinances banning pet shops. The only way to promote the transfer of dogs and cats and reduce the killing of animals is to regulate the business of selling life as a commodity.

アメリカのいくつかの州では議員と動物愛護団体が協力して条例を作り、ペットショップを禁止にしています。犬猫の譲渡を進めて殺処分を減らすには命を商品にして販売する業を規制することしかありません。
