詩を読んだり書いたりすることに重点を置いた授業。

このサイトで色んなタイプのPoetryを学んだそう。
前にご紹介したAcrostic Poemも行っている。

私がなるほど～～と思った表現が、
Juicy words
何の事だかわかりますか？
辞書には出ていませんが「形容詞ーAdjectives」の事ですって
日本語で言う「生き生きとした表現」に当たる英語なんでしょうね
せっかくなので息子が書いたPoemを一つ紹介。
This dog likes to eat delicious bones.
He has a red tongue sticking out.
He has a brother.
This brother takes care of the dog.
The dog likes this brother.
先生からの評価は
Terrific poem and neat handwriting!
Recount Writing
毎週月曜日に行っていたRecount Writing.
Recount Writing is factual and in G1class it is usually based on the past weekends events.
とあります。
つまりJournal（日記）の事ですね。
ここでのチェックポイントは
①Who,What,When,Where and Whyが書かれている。
②Past tense(過去形）and use time connetives(時を表す接続詞や副詞）が正しいか？
③Punctuating their workが自分で出来ているか？
つまりfull stops(終止符）、capital letters(文の始めは大文字）、exclamation marks（クエスチョンマークや感嘆符）、quotation mark(直接話法）が正しく使われているか？
※quotation markはtalking markと授業中は習っています。
先生はこう書いています。
The emphasis here is on the children maintaining ownership of their writing and being guided to improve it themselves rather than the teacher correcting it.
つまり先生が一方的に直すのではなくて、
子供達自らが文を校正できるように
促すという事ですね

こちらも息子のrecount writing をご紹介します。
On Monday we went to Thanh xuan.All the grade 1s went to organic farm.
I liked harvesting cabeges and carots.
I little bit liked planting because I wanted to touch the soil.
It was fantastic because it was so fun at harvesting.
