ブロンプトン愛好家の皆さんは既にご存じと思いますが、ブロンプトン・ワールドチャンピオンシップ2020が中止となりました。
大変残念ですが、次回BWCは世界的パンデミックからの復活祝いということで盛大に開催されることを期待しましょう。
ブロンプトン社の発表は以下。
今年8月に予定されていた2020年プルデンシャルライドロンドンの中止に伴い、2020年ブロンプトン・ワールドチャンピオンシップの開催を断念することになりました。今年、皆さんの着飾った雄姿を競技会場で目にすることができず残念でなりません。しかし、将来が不確実なこの時期に公衆衛生と健康の重要性を総合判断したプルデンシャルライドロンドンの決定を我々は尊重します。
我々は、8月15日および16日に予定されていたBWCを含む自転車の祭典が実施できないことには失望していますが、BWCスタイルでのその週末の過ごし方について考えてみようとしています。それがどのような内容になるかは詳細をお待ちください。
我々はしばらくの間過去のBWCを思い起こしながら、ここロンドンにて2021年に再びブロンプトンコミュニティーで集まることができることを心から楽しみにしています。
Due to the announcement that the 2020 Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling has been cancelled, we are sad to confirm that as part of the festival, the 2020 Brompton World Championship Final will not take place in August. We would have loved to see everyone in their glorious finery on the track this year, however we are supportive of Prudential RideLondon's decision as public health and well being is our collective priority at this time of uncertainty.
Whilst we are all disappointed at not being able to take part in the BWC and wider cycling festivities on 15th & 16th August, we’ll be marking the moment of our favourite weekend of the year in true BWC style. Stay tuned for details of how to get involved.
In the meantime, we'll be reminiscing about past BWC's and looking forward to getting the Brompton community together in 2021. #BWC2020
