今から17年くらい前に放送されたドラマ
「仁」を観ている。
現在に生きる医師が幕末にタイムスリップ
するお話。
そのせいもあり、“YBA”を後に観た
”歌川国芳“をより一層、気合をいれて
興味深く拝見する。
彼、“国芳”の生きた時代が丁度”幕末“
である。
で、今回、本物を間近に拝見して、
信じられないほどの精密さに鳥肌が立った。
背中一面の入れ墨といい着物の柄といい
どうやって彫ったんですかと聞いてみたい

すごい迫力！
「浮世絵って木版画やったはず。でも、
なんで？手で描いてるの？」と思うほど
精密
忠臣蔵 数えてないけどほんまに
四十七士いてはるように思う。
ほんまに木版画？って何度も
思う。
おばけ、妖怪、化け物もいてる
ほんま、画によっては、信じられへん
ぐらい精密な線（１ミリより絶対細い）が、
彫師の手により彫り上げられていたり、
（←顕微鏡もない時代にすごい）
刷師によって、色が綺麗に重なるよう、
少しのズレも許されることなく正確に重ね
刷りされている。
まさに“神業”。

この画に書かれている文章、意外に読めた。
万一、タイムスリップしても大丈夫に
思う。
数えるほどだが、今まで浮世絵を観る機会が
幾度かあったけど、今回、型破りで、
破天荒で、ユーモアたっぷりの画が拝見でき
楽しかった。
I am currently watching a Japanese drama
called "JIN," which was broadcast about
17 years ago.
The story follows a modern doctor who
travels back in time to the end of the Edo
period.
Partly because of this background,
after seeing "YBA," I found myself looking
at Utagawa Kuniyoshi’s artwork with
even greater enthusiasm and interest.
The period when Kuniyoshi lived was
exactly the end of the Edo era.
When I saw the original pieces up close
at the exhibition, the unbelievable level
of precision literally gave me goosebumps.
It was so detailed that I found myself
thinking, "I thought Ukiyo-e were
woodblock prints. But how? Did they
paint this by hand?"
Honestly, depending on the artwork,
incredibly fine lines—definitely thinner
than one millimeter—were carved out
by the master carvers. It is truly amazing
for an era without microscopes.
Furthermore, the printers aligned the
colors so perfectly that there was not a
single millimeter of error.
It is nothing short of a "miraculous
technique."
I have only had a few opportunities to see
Ukiyo-e in the past, but I truly enjoyed
seeing these masterpieces that are
unconventional, groundbreaking, and
full of humor.
