今日は、先日お誘いしたHさんと、ランチを
ご一緒させて頂いた。
実は、木曜日のヨガクラスが行われている区民
センターの上に図書館があり、Hさんが時々その
図書館をご利用されているので、てっきり、
今日も図書館にいらっしゃると思い、ヨガクラス
の後で、お目にかかるお約束をさせていただいた
のだが、、、なんと、私の勘違いで、今日、
Hさんは、全く、図書館に行く予定はなく、
結果、暑い中、わざわざご足労させてしまった。
本当に、すみませんでした。
久しぶりにお目にかかったのにもかかわらず、
お目にかかる時はいつも時間の感覚がなくなって
しまうから不思議である。40年前も今も同じ様に、
親しくお話をさせてもらえることが嬉しくて、有難い。
涼しくなったら、また一緒にランチをしょうと言って
頂いた。次回は、私がそちらへ参ります！

Today, I had lunch with H-san, whom I asked
for the other day.
Actually, there is a library at the community
center where the yoga class is held on Thursdays,
and H-san uses the library, so I thought she would
be at the library today as well, and I made an
plan to meet us after the yoga class, but…to my
surprise, I was wrong, and H-san was not planning
to go to the library at all. As a result, I made her
come all the way there in the hot weather. I am
really sorry. 
It is interesting that I always lose the sense of time
when I see her, even though it has been a long time
since I have met her. I am happy and grateful to be
able to talk with her in the same friendly way I did 40
years ago and as today.
H-san said we should have lunch together again
when the weather cools down. I will visit you next
time! I am looking forward to it.
