今日は、本当に疲れた。
朝、起きて、台所へ向かうと、あちらこちら物が動いた形跡が
あった。蓋がずれていたり、積んでいた箱が崩れていたり、
風呂場では、バスマットがずれていた。そして、玄関においては、
昨日揃えて脱いだ靴が、左右に飛び散っていたし、玄関土間に
停めている自転車の前かごに置いていた帽子が、凹んでいた。
そして、玄関ドア付近に、糞が残っていた。
帽子の凹み具合や、物のずれが大きいことから、イタチだと思わ
れる。最悪なのは、家の中にイタチが入ったことだ。菌が怖い。
例えば、昨夜、食器を洗ったあと、ゆすいで、水切りマットに
ならべていたのだが、その近くを、イタチが通ったかもしれないの
で、食器を洗い直す必要があった。煮沸まではしなかったけれど、
熱湯はかけた。バスマットも洗った。床も拭いた。余分な仕事が
増えて疲れる。
今夜も心配だが、多分、一階から入って、二階に上がったように
思うので、一階と二階を仕切るドアを今晩は閉めることにする。
そして、写真のイタチの撃退グッズは、先ほど、玄関入口に一つと、
階段の真ん中に一つ置いた。本来なら、屋根裏や床下に置くべき
もののようだが、押し入れにも入れて大丈夫とあるので、一晩、
玄関土間と階段において様子をみることにする。
結局、業者さんへイタチ駆除を依頼したのであるが、作業は来週に
なりそうだ。それまで、イタチと私の闘いは続く。
I am really tired today.
When I woke up this morning and went to the kitchen, I found
signs of things having been moved here and there.
In the kitchen, lids had shifted, boxes that had been piled up
had collapsed. In the bathroom, there were bath mats that had
been shifted. At the front door, the shoes that I had lined up and
taken off yesterday were scattered left and right, and the hat that
I had left on the front basket of the bicycle parked on the dirt floor
of the entrance was dented. And there were droppings near the
front door.
The dent in the hat and the large displacement of the object
suggest that it is a weasel. The worst part is that the weasel got
inside the house. I am afraid of germs. For example, last night,
after washing the dishes, I rinsed them and put them on the draining
mat, but I had to rewash them this morning because a weasel might
have passed near them. I did not boil them, but I did pour boiling
water on them. I also washed the bath mat. I also wiped the floor.
Those extra work made me very tired today.
I am worried if weasels will come into the house again tonight,
but I think it probably entered from the first floor and went upstairs
last night, so I will close the door separating the first and second floors
tonight. And I just placed the weasel repelling items in the photo, one
at the entrance and one in the middle of the stairs. It seems that they
should be placed in the attic or under the floor, but since it says they
can be put in the closet, I put them in the entrance dirt floor and on
the stairs for the night see how it goes.
In the end, I asked weasel removal work, but the work will likely be
done next week. Until then, my battle with the weasels will continue.
