一昨日、Yさんとランチをした時、Yさんから「このパン、めっちゃ美味しい
んですよ」と教えてもらった。「どんなパンですか？」と尋ねると、早速、
写真をラインで送ってくれはった。Yさんは、ヘルパーさんの手配や入退院
の手続き等々を通じて、多くの年配の方々と接するお仕事をされている。
それで、よく年配の方々から差し入れやお礼にと、ちょっとしたお菓子や
パンを頂くことがあるそうだ。
Yさんが、写真のパンを利用者さんから頂いた時、「西日本一美味しいパンが、
丁度手元にないんやけど、このパンも美味しいから食べて」と渡されたそうだ。
そして、「西日本一美味しいパンは、また今度」と言われたらしい。私は、
その西日本一（日本一でない）美味しいパンのことを知りたくて、どこの
どんなパンとおっしゃっていましたか？とYさんに尋ねたのだが、Yさんは、
聞きそびれたらしい。めちゃめちゃ気になるので、Ｙさんに成りすまして、
その人に電話をして聞き出したいくらいだ。そこで、忘れないようにブログに
書いておく。いつか、その西日本一美味しいパンの正体が、そんなに遠くない
将来にわかることを願って。
ちなみに、写真のパンは、大丸で購入できるらしい。パンを食べないと
ダイエット宣言したものだから、今は、写真で楽しむことにする。Ｙさんは、
頂いたお菓子やパンの写真を毎回残されている。いつか、写真集にしたら、
きっと面白いと思う。
The day before yesterday, when I had lunch with Mrs. Y, she tole me,
“This bread is so delicious.”, showing me a picture. Then I asked her
“what kind of bread is it?” She immediately sent me a picture of the
bread by Line. Mrs. Y works with a lot of elderly people by arranging
home helpers and taking care of hospitalization and discharge procedures.
Therefore, she often receives sweets and bread from the elderly as
gifts or as a thank-you for the kindness she did for them.
When Mrs. Y received the bread in the picture from a nursing care service
user, she told Mrs. Y, “I don’t have the best bread in western Japan now,
but this bread is delicious, too, so please try it.” I wanted to know about
the best bread in western Japan (even not the best in Japan), so I asked
Mrs. Y, “where and what kind of bread did she say?” but Mrs. Y failed to
ask. I am so curious about it that I want to pretend to be Mrs. Y and
call her to find out. I am going to write about this bread in my blog so
that I do not forget. I hope to find out the identity of the best bread in
western Japan in the not-too-distant future.
By the way, the bread in the photo is apparently available at Daimaru.
Since I declared a diet of not eating bread, I'll just enjoy the photo for
now. Mrs. Y keeps a photo of each sweet and bread she received from
nursing care service users. I am sure it would be interesting to make
a photo book of them someday.
