今日も一日いい日でした。ありがとうございます。
のんびり、ドラマ三昧の一日であった。イギリスドラマが好きで、今観ている
ドラマも繰り返し観ているうちの一つだが、観る度に何かしらの発見がある。
さて、昨日、一階のお部屋を借りて頂いているYさんから、“梅干キムチ”を
頂いた。“梅干キムチ”と聞いて、あの酸っぱい梅干と辛い白菜キムチを
混ぜてあるんかな？と思ったのだが、梅干をキムチにしたものだった。
確かにキムチの味はするのだが、その後に、梅の甘い味がする。
梅酒に入っている梅のあの甘さである。梅酒の梅とキムチの旨味のあるタレ
が混ぜ合わさったような味であった。
Yさん、いつも珍しくて、美味しいものをありがとうございます。
It was another good day.
It was a relaxing day full of dramas. I love British dramas, and
the drama I am watching now is one of the dramas I watch
repeatedly, but each time when I watch it, I discover something
new.
Yesterday, Mrs. Y, who rents a room on the first floor, gave me
some "umeboshi kimchi". When I heard "umeboshi kimchi,"
I thought it was a mixture of sour pickled plums and spicy
Chinese cabbage kimchi, but it was actually plums made into
kimchi.
It certainly tastes like kimchi, but then there is the sweet taste
of plums. It is that sweetness of plums in plum wine.
It is like a mixture of the plums from the plum wine and the
kimchi sauce with umami.
Thank you always, Mrs. Y, for your unusual and delicious
offerings.
