Translation
High School student Hajime Kindaichi, popular to many manga fans for his remarks, "I swear by my grandfather's name" and "I've solved all the mysteries," is involved in a difficult case again. At his friend free-lance journalist Yosuke Itsuki's earnest request, Hajime goes for treasure hunt to Amakusa City, southwestern Japan, to find "the treasure of the Hidden Christians," which is said to be existed. But there awaited a gruesome reality that the other treasure hunters, which accompanied him, were mercilessly murdered by a serial killer "WHITE-HAIRED OGRE." Hajime has a renowned detective Kosuke Kindaichi as a grandfather, and has experience solving many cases with his 180 I.Q. brain power. The boy detective tries to put an end to this string of butchery, using his outstanding reasoning power.
This is a bilingual comic book. Yuriko Tamaki, the translator of this work, is a seasoned manga translator who has rendered countless Japanese comic books into English. I really would like to recommend this piece to Japanese readers who are interested in learning what native English speakers say in daily life, and to foreigners who are thinking to learn casual Japanese expressions.
